Yo, lemme tell ya about my day in Hotaka. Man, it was a rollercoaster, like, for real. I woke up, and the sun was shining, but I was like, “Ugh, another day, another yen to save.” I mean, I’m a Saver, right? Gotta keep that cash flowin’. So, I hit the streets, and first stop was the Hotaka Station. It’s this cute lil’ station, right? Super chill vibe. I grabbed a coffee from this tiny café on Kurobe Street. Best coffee ever, no cap. I was feelin’ all hyped, ready to tackle the day. But then, boom! My phone buzzed. I got a message from my buddy, Taro. He was like, “Dude, meet me at the Hotaka River!” I was like, “Sure, why not?” So I strolled down to the river, takin’ in the sights. The mountains were all majestic and stuff, and the river was glistening. I mean, it’s Hotaka, right? Nature’s playground. But then, I got there, and Taro was late. Like, seriously? I was standin’ there, lookin’ like a lost tourist. I was gettin’ mad, like, “C’mon, man! I got places to be!” Finally, he shows up, all outta breath. Turns out he got lost on the way. Classic Taro. We decided to walk along the river. It was chill, but then we saw this group of kids jumpin’ into the water. I was like, “Yo, that looks fun!” So, of course, we joined in. I mean, who doesn’t wanna splash around in a river? But then, I slipped and fell. Water everywhere! I was soaked, and Taro was laughin’ his head off. I was mad, but also kinda happy. It was hilarious. After that, we headed to the Hotaka Shrine. It’s this beautiful place, all peaceful and stuff. I was tryin’ to be all zen, but then I saw a squirrel. And not just any squirrel, a fat one! I was like, “Dude, that squirrel is livin’ the life!” Taro was rollin’ his eyes, but I couldn’t help it. I mean, who wouldn’t wanna be a squirrel in Hotaka? Then, we decided to grab some food. We hit up this ramen joint on Nagano Street. Best ramen ever! I was slurpin’ away, and Taro was talkin’ about his latest crush. I was like, “Dude, focus on the ramen!” But he just kept goin’ on and on. I mean, I get it, love is great, but ramen is life! After lunch, we wandered around the streets. Hotaka is so cute, with all these lil’ shops and stuff. I found this store that sold handmade crafts. I was like, “I need to get somethin’ for my mom.” So I bought this cute pottery thing. It was a bit pricey, but hey, it’s for mom, right? But then, outta nowhere, it started rainin’. Like, seriously? I was like, “Great, just great!” We ducked into a nearby café on Yatsugatake Street. I was grumpy, but then I saw the dessert menu. I mean, who can stay mad with cake in front of them? We ordered this chocolate cake, and it was heavenly. I was like, “Okay, maybe this day isn’t so bad.” As the rain let up, we decided to head back to the river. The sunset was insane! The sky was all pink and orange, reflecting on the water. I was feelin’ all the feels. Taro and I just sat there, chillin’, talkin’ about life. It was one of those moments you wanna freeze in time, ya know? But then, I got a text from my boss. “Need you to save more today.” I was like, “Ugh, can’t a Saver catch a break?” But I just laughed it off. I mean, it’s Hotaka. Life’s too short to stress, right? So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but mostly ups. Hotaka, you’ve got my heart. Can’t wait to do it all again!
