Man, what a day! I swear, Inakadate really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up the local café on Kōen-dōri. You know, the one with the cute barista? Yeah, her name’s Yuki. I’m all ready to order my usual—matcha latte, extra foam, please! But guess what? They ran outta matcha! Like, how do you run outta matcha in Japan? I was fuming. I mean, c’mon! So, I settle for a black coffee. Ugh, bitter like my mood. Then, I decide to stroll down to the rice terraces. You know, the famous ones? They’re like a postcard come to life. But as I’m walking, I trip over a rock. Classic me, right? I’m sprawled out on the ground, and this old dude walks by. He just chuckles and says, “You okay, young man?” I’m like, “Yeah, just practicing my yoga.” 😂 Finally, I get to the terraces. Wow, just wow. The view is insane! Green everywhere, and the patterns are like nature’s art. I snap a few pics for the ‘gram. Gotta show off, right? But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, seriously? I’m drenched in seconds. I’m standing there, looking like a wet dog, and I can’t help but laugh. What a sight! So, I duck into this little shop on Kōen-dōri again. It’s a tiny place, but they’ve got the best mochi. I’m munching away, feeling all cozy, when I overhear this convo. Some locals are talking about the annual rice planting festival. They’re all hyped, and I’m like, “Dude, I gotta check this out!” Turns out, it’s happening next week. Perfect timing, right? But then, I get a call from my business partner. He’s freaking out about some shipment delays. I’m like, “Bro, I’m in Inakadate! Can’t you handle it?” But no, he’s gotta stress me out. I’m pacing around, trying to find a quiet spot, but it’s all chaos. Kids are running around, and I’m just trying to breathe. After that, I decide to hit up the Inakadate Museum. I’m all about that culture, you know? But when I get there, it’s closed for renovations. Are you kidding me? I’m standing outside, looking like a lost tourist. I mean, c’mon! I just wanna learn about the history of this place! So, I wander around, and I find this little park. It’s got cherry blossoms, and I’m like, “Finally, some peace!” I sit on a bench, just soaking it all in. The petals are falling like confetti, and I’m feeling all zen. But then, I see a squirrel. This little guy is bold! He comes right up to me, and I’m like, “Dude, back off! I don’t have any snacks!” 😂 As the day winds down, I’m walking back to my hotel on Kōen-dōri, and I can’t help but think about how wild today was. I mean, from coffee disasters to rainstorms to squirrel encounters, it’s been a rollercoaster. Inakadate, you’ve got my heart racing! I finally crash in my room, exhausted but happy. Tomorrow’s a new day, and who knows what it’ll bring? But for now, I’m just gonna dream about matcha and mochi. Peace out, Inakadate! You’re a trip!
