Man, today was a wild ride in Inashiki. Like, seriously, I didn’t expect this city to throw me so many curveballs. I woke up, ready to tackle some textures for my latest project. You know, the usual grind. But Inashiki had other plans. First off, I hit up the local konbini on Kameido Street. Gotta love those onigiri, right? I grabbed a couple, and as I was munching, I noticed this old dude staring at me. Like, bro, I’m just trying to enjoy my breakfast! I mean, it’s not like I’m wearing a neon sign saying “Look at me!” But whatever, I shrugged it off. Then, I decided to stroll down to the Inashiki Shrine. It’s a chill spot, you know? The vibe there is just peaceful. But as I’m walking, I trip over a crack in the sidewalk. Classic me, right? I almost face-planted. I was like, “Great, now I’m gonna be the clumsy foreigner.” But then I saw this little kid laughing at me. I couldn’t help but laugh too. Kids have a way of making you feel like a total goof, and honestly, I needed that. So, I finally make it to the shrine. It’s beautiful, man. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom. I took a moment to soak it all in. But then, outta nowhere, this group of tourists shows up, all loud and obnoxious. Like, chill, guys! You’re in a sacred place, not a theme park! I swear, they were taking selfies like it was their last day on Earth. I rolled my eyes so hard, I thought they’d get stuck. After that, I needed a break from the chaos. I headed over to the Inashiki City Hall area. There’s this little park nearby, and I plopped down on a bench. Just me, my thoughts, and a couple of pigeons. I started sketching some ideas for my textures. But then, this pigeon decides it’s gonna strut right in front of me. Like, dude, I’m not feeding you! I’m trying to work here! But then, I had this epiphany. I thought, “What if I used that pigeon as inspiration?” I mean, textures can come from anywhere, right? So, I whipped out my phone and snapped a pic. Who knew a pigeon could spark creativity? Later, I decided to hit up the local market on Kameido Street again. I was on a mission for some fresh veggies. But as I’m browsing, I overhear this lady yelling at a vendor. Apparently, she thought he was shortchanging her. I mean, it was a whole scene! I was just standing there, trying not to laugh. The vendor looked so confused, like, “Lady, chill! It’s just a few yen!” Finally, I grabbed my stuff and headed home. I was exhausted but kinda pumped. Inashiki had thrown me through the wringer, but I loved it. The mix of chaos and calm, the people, the vibes—it all just clicked. As I sat down to work on my textures, I couldn’t help but smile. Today was a rollercoaster, but it was my rollercoaster. And honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Inashiki, you crazy little city, you’ve got my heart.
