Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a bone cutter in Ishige is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I hit up the local konbini on Koshigaya Street. Gotta grab my morning coffee, ya know? But guess what? They’re outta my fave blend! I mean, c’mon! How hard is it to stock up? I settle for some weird matcha thing. Ugh. Not the same vibe. So, I’m walking down the street, and I see this old dude trying to cross the road at the Ishige Station. He’s moving like molasses, and I’m like, “C’mon, man! We ain’t got all day!” But then, I see him trip. My heart drops. I rush over, and he’s fine, just a little embarrassed. I help him up, and he’s all like, “Thanks, young fella!” I’m like, “No prob, just don’t break a hip, okay?” After that, I head to the clinic. It’s a small place on Sakae Street. I’m ready to cut some bones, ya know? But the waiting room is packed! Like, what’s with all these people? I swear, it’s like a bone convention. I’m sittin’ there, tapping my foot, and this kid next to me is playing some loud game on his phone. I’m about to lose it. “Dude, turn it down!” But he just gives me this blank stare. Kids these days, right? Finally, I get called in. Thank goodness! I’m ready to do my thing. But then, my first patient is this guy who’s all nervous. He’s sweating bullets. I’m like, “Relax, man! I’m not a monster!” But he’s still shaking. I mean, I get it, bones are serious biz, but c’mon! I’m not here to eat ya! So, I start the procedure, and everything’s going smooth. But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, Taro, sending me memes. I can’t help but chuckle. I’m in the middle of cutting a bone, and I’m laughing like a maniac. The patient looks at me like I’m nuts. I’m like, “Hey, laughter is the best medicine, right?” After a few more patients, I finally get a break. I step outside for some fresh air on Koshigaya Street. The sun’s setting, and it’s beautiful. I see the cherry blossoms starting to bloom. I’m like, “Wow, Ishige, you’re kinda pretty.” But then, I hear this commotion. A bunch of kids are running down the street, chasing a stray cat. They’re yelling and laughing, and I can’t help but smile. It’s moments like these that make the grind worth it. Then, outta nowhere, this lady comes up to me. She’s all frantic, saying her dog’s hurt. I’m like, “Lady, I cut bones, not fix dogs!” But I can’t just leave her hanging. So, I give her some advice, and she’s super grateful. I’m like, “Just pay it forward, okay?” Finally, I wrap up my day. I’m exhausted but happy. I stroll back home, taking in the sights of Ishige. The streets are lit up, and there’s this food stall on the corner of Sakae Street. I can’t resist. I grab some yakitori, and it’s fire! As I sit there, munching away, I think about the day. It was wild, emotional, and full of surprises. Ishige, you crazy little city, you never fail to keep me on my toes. I’m ready for whatever tomorrow brings. Bring it on!
