Man, today was a wild ride in Kitsuki! Like, I woke up thinking it’d be just another chill day, but boy, was I wrong. First off, I hit the streets of Kōen-dōri, and it was already buzzing. I mean, who knew a Tuesday could feel like a Saturday? So, I’m walking, right? Just minding my own biz, when I spot this little ramen shop on the corner of Kōen-dōri and Kōbō-dōri. I’m like, “Heck yeah, I need some of that!” I order the tonkotsu, and it’s like a flavor explosion in my mouth. I swear, I could’ve cried. But then, I spill some broth on my shirt. Ugh! Instant rage mode activated. I’m like, “Really? This is how we’re starting the day?” After that, I decide to stroll down to the Kitsuki Castle ruins. The view from up there is insane! You can see the whole city, the mountains in the back, and the sea glistening like a million diamonds. I’m standing there, feeling all philosophical, like, “Wow, life is beautiful.” But then, I trip over a rock. Classic me, right? I’m laughing and cursing at the same time. Then, I hit up the old samurai district, and it’s like stepping back in time. The wooden houses, the narrow streets—so much history! I’m wandering around, and I bump into this old dude. He’s got this epic samurai sword, and he starts telling me stories. I’m all ears, but then he goes off on this tangent about how he once fought a bear. Like, dude, really? A bear? I’m trying to keep a straight face, but inside, I’m dying. Next, I’m walking down to the Kitsuki River. The cherry blossoms are in full bloom, and it’s like a scene from a movie. I’m snapping pics like a tourist, and this little kid runs by, yelling, “Sakura! Sakura!” I’m like, “Yeah, kid, you get it!” But then, I see a group of teenagers throwing stuff in the river. I’m like, “Come on, guys! This is nature, not your trash can!” So, I’m feeling all kinds of emotions today—happy, angry, surprised. It’s a rollercoaster! I decide to grab a coffee at this cute café on Shōwa-dōri. The barista is super chill, and we start chatting. Turns out, he’s a Torcador too! What are the odds? We bond over our love for Kitsuki and how it’s the best-kept secret in Japan. But then, outta nowhere, this guy walks in, and he’s like, “Hey, you’re a Torcador, right?” I’m like, “Uh, yeah?” He starts asking me all these questions about my work. I’m trying to keep it cool, but inside, I’m freaking out. Like, why is this happening? Finally, I wrap up my day by heading back to Kōen-dōri. The sun is setting, and everything is bathed in this golden light. I’m feeling grateful, you know? Kitsuki has this vibe that just gets to you. It’s quirky, it’s beautiful, and it’s full of surprises. So yeah, that was my day. A total whirlwind of emotions, laughter, and a bit of chaos. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Kitsuki, you’ve got my heart!
