Man, what a day in Koga! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up the local konbini on Koga’s main street, Koga-dori. Grabbed my usual—onigiri and a can of iced coffee. But guess what? They were outta my fave flavor! Ugh, I was so mad. Like, how do you run out of onigiri? It’s a konbini, not a gourmet restaurant! Anyway, I’m walking down the street, and I see this cute little park, Koga Park. It’s got cherry blossoms, and I’m like, “Aww, this is nice.” But then, BAM! A kid runs by, and I trip over his skateboard. I’m on the ground, and he just zooms off. Rude, right? I’m like, “Hey, kid! Ever heard of ‘watch where you’re going’?” But he’s gone. So, I dust myself off and head to the Koga River. It’s beautiful there, honestly. The water’s sparkling, and I’m feeling a bit better. I sit on a bench, just chillin’, when this old dude starts chatting me up. He’s telling me about the history of Koga, how it used to be a castle town. I’m nodding, but inside I’m like, “Dude, I just wanna enjoy the view.” Then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, heavy rain. I’m sprinting to find cover, and I duck into this little ramen shop on Koga-dori. Best decision ever! The ramen was fire! I mean, I was slurping like there was no tomorrow. The owner, this sweet old lady, kept refilling my bowl. I felt like a king. But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, and he’s like, “Yo, let’s meet at the Koga Station.” I’m like, “Sure, but I’m soaked!” He laughs and says, “Bring a towel next time.” Thanks, buddy. So, I head to the station, and it’s packed. People everywhere! I’m trying to navigate through the crowd, and I bump into this guy. He spills his drink all over me. I’m like, “Seriously?!” He’s super apologetic, but I’m still fuming. I mean, come on! Finally, I meet up with my buddy. We decide to hit up a local izakaya. The vibe is lit! We’re laughing, eating, and I’m finally feeling good again. Then, outta nowhere, the lights go out! Total blackout! Everyone’s freaking out, but I’m just sitting there, laughing. Like, “This is just my luck!” After a few minutes, the lights come back on, and the place erupts in cheers. We order more drinks to celebrate our survival. Koga’s got this crazy energy, you know? As the night goes on, we stumble out into the streets. The neon lights of Koga are shining, and I’m just soaking it all in. I love this city! It’s quirky, it’s wild, and it’s got character. But then, I see a cat. Just chilling on the sidewalk. I’m like, “Hey, little buddy!” I reach down to pet it, and it hisses at me. Rude! I’m just trying to be friendly! By the time I get home, I’m exhausted. My feet hurt, my clothes are damp, and I’m still buzzing from the ramen and drinks. But honestly? I wouldn’t trade this day for anything. Koga, you crazy little city, you’ve got my heart. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
