Yo, lemme tell ya about my day in Komatsushimacho. Man, it was a wild ride! I woke up, like, super late. My alarm? Totally didn’t go off. Classic, right? So I’m rushin’ outta my tiny apartment on Kōen-dōri, tryna grab my sketchbook and coffee. First stop? The local café, you know, the one on Shōwa-dōri. I’m all hyped for my usual matcha latte. But guess what? They ran outta matcha! Like, how do you run outta matcha in Japan? I was ready to throw a fit. But then, I saw this cute cat chillin’ outside. Instant mood booster! I named him Mochi. So, I’m sittin’ there, sketching Mochi, when this dude walks in. He’s got this crazy hair, like a walking anime character. Turns out, he’s an indie filmmaker. We start chatting, and he’s like, “You should totally animate my next project!” I’m like, “Dude, I’m in!” After that, I head over to the Komatsushimacho Park. It’s a chill spot, lotsa trees and stuff. I’m sittin’ on a bench, sketching some ideas for the film. Suddenly, a bunch of kids run by, playin’ tag. One of ‘em trips and falls right in front of me. I’m like, “Oof, that’s gotta hurt!” But he just gets up and laughs. Kids are tough, man. Then, outta nowhere, it starts rainin’. Like, heavy rain. I’m sprinting to the nearest shelter, which happens to be this tiny ramen shop on Kōen-dōri. I duck inside, soaked but kinda happy. Ramen fixes everything, right? I order a bowl, and it’s like a hug in a bowl. While I’m slurping, I overhear this couple arguing. They’re going at it, and I’m just trying to enjoy my noodles. The guy’s like, “You never listen!” and the girl’s like, “Well, you never talk!” I’m thinking, “Y’all need some communication skills.” After the rain stops, I decide to explore more. I wander down to the Komatsushimacho Shrine. It’s beautiful, man. The cherry blossoms are in full bloom. I’m snapping pics like a tourist. I feel all zen and stuff. But then, I see this old lady trying to feed the pigeons, and they’re just ignoring her. I’m like, “C’mon, pigeons! Show some respect!” As I’m leaving the shrine, I bump into Mochi the cat again! I swear, this cat is following me. I’m like, “Dude, you wanna be my muse?” He just looks at me like, “Nah, I’m good.” Finally, I head back home, exhausted but pumped. I can’t wait to start animating. I’m thinkin’ about all the crazy stuff that happened today. Komatsushimacho is wild, man. It’s got this vibe, you know? Full of surprises and characters. So yeah, that was my day. A rollercoaster of emotions, sketching, and ramen. Can’t wait for tomorrow! Who knows what’ll happen next?
