Man, today was a wild ride in Kudamatsu! Like, I woke up thinking it’d be just another chill day, but boy, was I wrong. First off, I hit up the local konbini on Kōen-dōri for my morning fix. You know, the usual onigiri and some green tea. But guess what? They were outta my fave flavor! Ugh, I was like, “Seriously?!” So, I grabbed some random tuna one instead. Not the same, but whatever. I strolled down to the river, the Matsu River, and it was so peaceful. Birds chirping, water flowing, and I’m just vibin’. But then, outta nowhere, this kid on a bike zooms past me and splashes water all over my shoes! Like, come on, dude! I was ready to throw down, but he just laughed and sped off. Kids these days, right? After that, I decided to hit up the Kudamatsu Castle ruins. I mean, who doesn’t love a bit of history? But when I got there, it was packed! Tourists everywhere, snapping pics like they were at a rock concert. I tried to squeeze in for a shot, but this lady with a giant hat blocked my view. I was like, “Lady, I’m not trying to take a pic of your hat!” Finally, I found a spot and snapped a quick selfie. Gotta document the day, ya know? Then I wandered over to the old streets of Kōen-dōri. So many cute shops! I popped into this little place selling handmade crafts. The owner was super nice and showed me how to make a traditional Kintsugi piece. I was all in, but my clumsiness kicked in, and I dropped the piece I was working on. It shattered! I was mortified. But the owner just laughed and said, “That’s how it goes!” I left feeling a bit better, but then I got hungry again. So, I hit up this ramen joint on Shōwa-dōri. Best decision ever! The broth was like a warm hug. I slurped it down like I hadn’t eaten in days. But then, I realized I had ramen all over my face. Classic me, right? After lunch, I decided to check out the Kudamatsu Art Museum. I thought it’d be chill, but it was a total maze! I got lost in there for like an hour. I swear I saw the same painting three times. I was about to give up when I stumbled upon this amazing exhibit on local artists. It was so inspiring! I felt all the feels. But then, as I was leaving, I tripped over my own feet and nearly face-planted. I laughed it off, but inside, I was like, “Why, universe, why?” As the sun started to set, I walked along the river again. The view was stunning. The sky was all pink and orange, reflecting on the water. I took a moment to breathe it all in. Life’s crazy, but moments like this make it worth it. Then, I headed back to my place, exhausted but happy. I thought about all the random stuff that happened today. From getting splashed to breaking pottery, it was a rollercoaster. Kudamatsu, you’ve got my heart! Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
