Man, what a day! I’m a shepherd, right? But today, I was more like a lost sheep in the city of Kutchan. Seriously, I thought I knew this place, but wow, it threw me for a loop. So, I wake up early, like, way too early. The sun was barely peeking over the mountains. I’m thinking, “Today’s gonna be chill.” I grab my gear, head out, and boom! I’m hit by this wave of excitement. Kutchan is beautiful, man! The mountains, the fresh air, the whole vibe. But then, I hit the streets. First stop, the local market on Chuo-dori. I’m strolling, feeling all proud of my shepherd self. But then, I see this dude selling these crazy-looking veggies. I mean, what even are those? I’m like, “Bro, is that a radish or a space alien?” He just laughs. I’m like, “Okay, cool, but I’m not buying that.” Then, I bump into this old lady. She’s got this massive bag of rice. I’m talking, like, bigger than my sheep! She’s struggling, so I help her out. She’s super grateful, and I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. But then, she starts talking about her grandkids. I’m like, “Lady, I’m just a shepherd, not a therapist!” After that, I decide to hit up the Kutchan Onsen. I need to relax, right? So, I’m walking down the street, and I see this sign for a new ramen shop on Yamada Street. I’m like, “Ramen? Yes, please!” I go in, and it’s packed. I’m waiting forever. I’m getting hangry, you know? Finally, I get my bowl, and it’s like heaven in a bowl. I slurp it down like a beast. But then, outta nowhere, this kid spills his drink all over me! I’m soaked! I’m like, “Dude, what’s your problem?” The kid just giggles. I can’t even be mad. I mean, it’s kinda funny, right? So, I’m walking back, still damp, and I see this group of tourists. They’re lost, looking at a map like it’s a puzzle. I’m like, “Hey, you guys need help?” They’re all excited, asking about the best spots. I’m like, “Dude, just follow me!” I take them to the Kutchan Shrine. It’s beautiful, man. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom. They’re snapping pics, and I’m just standing there, feeling like a tour guide. But then, I get a call. My sheep! They’re outta control! I’m like, “No way!” I sprint back to the fields. I’m dodging people, cars, and even a stray cat. I finally get there, and my sheep are just chilling, munching grass like they own the place. I’m like, “Seriously, guys? You scared me!” By the time I get back to town, I’m exhausted. But I can’t help but smile. Kutchan is wild, man. It’s got this energy. The streets, the people, the food. It’s all a bit chaotic, but I love it. So, yeah, that was my day. From lost veggies to ramen spills, it was a rollercoaster. I’m just a shepherd, but today, I felt like a part of something bigger. Kutchan, you crazy, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
