Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I’m in Maibara, right? This little gem in Japan, chillin’ by Lake Biwa. I mean, who knew this place could be so wild? First off, I’m a stunt guy. Yeah, you heard me. Dangerous stuff, right? So, I’m out here, ready to film some crazy scene on the streets of Maibara. We’re talkin’ about the main drag, the Route 8. It’s usually just a chill road, but today? Nah, not today. So, I’m setting up, and boom! A freakin’ pigeon dive-bombs me. Like, what’s up with that? I’m dodging birds now? I swear, it’s like they have a vendetta against stunt dudes. I’m laughing, but also kinda mad. Like, dude, I’m just trying to do my job here! Then, I head over to the Maibara Station. It’s a hub, right? Trains zooming in and out. I’m waiting for my crew, and this old dude starts chatting me up. He’s all like, “You know, Maibara has the best soba.” I’m like, “Cool, man, but I’m here to jump off stuff, not eat noodles.” But hey, I’m hungry, so I grab some. And wow, he wasn’t lying. Best soba ever! After that, I’m pumped. I’m ready to film. We hit up the streets near the Maibara Castle ruins. It’s a rad spot, but man, the locals are out today. They’re all staring at me like I’m some kinda circus act. I mean, I get it. I’m in a helmet and pads, looking like a wannabe superhero. So, we start filming. I’m supposed to jump off this ramp and land on a mat. Easy peasy, right? But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs into the shot! I’m like, “Dude, what are you doing?!” But he’s just laughing, thinking it’s all a game. I’m freaking out, but the director’s cracking up. “Keep rolling!” he yells. I’m like, “Are you serious?!” Finally, I jump. And I nail it! I land perfectly, and the crowd goes wild. I’m feeling like a rockstar. But then, I look over, and the kid is still there, clapping like he just saw a magic show. I can’t help but laugh. But then, the day takes a turn. We’re packing up, and I realize my phone’s gone. I’m searching everywhere. I’m flipping out. I mean, my whole life is on that thing! I’m running around like a headless chicken, checking every corner of the station. Then, I spot it. It’s sitting on a bench, right where I left it. I’m so relieved, I could cry. I grab it, and this lady nearby gives me a thumbs up. I’m like, “Thanks, lady! You just saved my sanity!” As the sun sets over Lake Biwa, I’m walking back, feeling all kinds of emotions. Happy, angry, surprised. Maibara, you’ve been a trip. I can’t believe how much happened in one day. I’m heading home, thinking about that old dude and his soba. Maybe I’ll come back for more. But next time, I’m dodging pigeons and kids like a pro. Maibara, you crazy, but I love ya!
