Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a glazier in Manazuru is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First stop, I’m cruisin’ down Route 135. Love that road, man. It hugs the coast, and the view? Breathtaking! You got the ocean on one side and those cute little houses on the other. But then, BAM! Traffic jam. Like, seriously? It’s a Tuesday! Turns out, some dude decided to park his car on the side of the road. Classic. I’m sittin’ there, fuming, thinkin’ about how I could be breakin’ glass instead of breakin’ my patience. Finally, I get to my first job on Koshigoe Street. This lady, Mrs. Tanaka, bless her heart, wants a new window in her tea shop. I walk in, and it’s like stepping into a time machine. The smell of matcha hits me, and I’m like, “Yesss!” But then, she shows me the window. It’s a mess! Cracked, foggy, and I’m pretty sure it’s been there since the Edo period. I’m thinkin’, “Lady, you need a miracle, not just a glazier.” So, I get to work, right? I’m measuring, cutting, and all that jazz. And then, outta nowhere, I drop the glass. It shatters everywhere! I’m like, “Noooo!” Glass pieces are flyin’ like confetti. Mrs. Tanaka gasps, and I’m just standin’ there, mortified. I mean, who knew glass could be so dramatic? I’m sweatin’ bullets, but she just laughs. “It’s okay, young man. More tea?” I’m like, “Sure, why not?” Best tea ever, by the way. After that, I head over to the harbor. Man, the view of Sagami Bay is unreal. I’m feelin’ good again. But then, I get a call. My buddy Kenji’s in a bind. He’s stuck at a job on Hoshikawa Street. Apparently, he’s got a window that’s too big for the frame. Classic Kenji, right? I rush over, and when I get there, he’s just standin’ there, lookin’ defeated. I can’t help but laugh. “Dude, what’d you do? Try to fit a door in there?” We end up measuring, cutting, and cursing together. It’s a mess, but we’re makin’ it work. And then, outta nowhere, this seagull swoops down and snatches Kenji’s sandwich! I’m dyin’ laughing. Like, who knew seagulls had such good taste? Kenji’s just standin’ there, mouth agape, while I’m wheezing. “Bro, you gotta protect your lunch better!” Finally, we finish the job, and I’m feelin’ accomplished. But then, I realize it’s late. I gotta get back to my truck parked near Manazuru Station. I’m speed-walking, dodging tourists and their selfie sticks. Seriously, people, it’s not that hard to walk and take a pic! As I’m hustlin’, I spot this little shop on Nakamachi Street. They sell the best yakitori. I can’t resist. I grab a skewer, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. I’m standin’ there, savoring every bite, when I hear this commotion. Turns out, there’s a street performer doing some wild tricks. I’m like, “What’s this, a circus?” The guy’s juggling fire, and I’m thinkin’, “Man, I can barely juggle my life!” But it’s cool. The crowd’s hyped, and I’m just enjoying the vibe. I even toss a few yen in his hat. Gotta support the arts, right? Finally, I make it back to my truck, exhausted but happy. Manazuru’s got this charm, ya know? The ocean, the food, the people. It’s chaotic, but it’s home. I plop down in my seat, and I’m like, “What a freakin’ day.” So, yeah, being a glazier in Manazuru? It’s a wild ride. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Bring on tomorrow!
