Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I’m a dental tech, right? Just another day in Matsuzaki, Japan. But today? Pffft, it was a rollercoaster.
I woke up late. Like, super late. My alarm? Totally ignored it. I jumped outta bed, threw on my scrubs, and bolted out the door. Matsuzaki’s streets were buzzing. I mean, it’s a small town, but it’s got this vibe, ya know? The ocean’s right there, and the mountains are like, “Hey, look at me!”
So, I’m hustlin’ down Matsuzaki’s main street, Nishi-dori. I’m dodging old ladies and their shopping carts. They move like they own the place. I swear, one almost took me out! I’m like, “Chill, grandma!”
Finally, I get to the clinic. My boss, Mr. Tanaka, is already there, looking all serious. He’s got that “I’m the boss” face on. I’m like, “Dude, it’s too early for this.” But whatever, I dive into work.
First patient? This kid, maybe 10, comes in. He’s got a mouth full of braces. I’m trying to explain how to take care of them, but he’s just staring at me like I’m speaking Martian. I’m like, “C’mon, dude! It’s not rocket science!”
Then, outta nowhere, the fire alarm goes off. I’m like, “What the heck?!” Everyone’s panicking. I grab the kid and we bolt outside. Turns out, it was just a drill. Ugh, Matsuzaki, why you gotta do me like that?
After that chaos, I’m back to work. I’m grinding away, making crowns and stuff. But then, I get a call from my buddy Kenji. He’s like, “Yo, you gotta check out the beach!” I’m like, “Dude, I’m working!” But he’s persistent.
So, I finish up, and I’m outta there. I race to Matsuzaki Beach. The sun’s setting, and it’s gorgeous. I’m talking pinks and oranges everywhere. I’m feeling all zen, ya know? But then, I see Kenji. He’s got a surfboard, and he’s like, “Let’s hit the waves!”
I’m not a surfer. I’m a dental tech! But whatever, I grab a board. I wipe out like a million times. I’m flailing around, and Kenji’s just laughing. I’m like, “This is not how I imagined my day!”
After the beach, we hit up this little ramen shop on Matsuzaki’s back streets. Best ramen ever! I’m slurping away, and Kenji’s telling me about his latest crush. I’m like, “Dude, just ask her out!” But he’s all shy. Classic Kenji.
Then, I get a text from my boss. He’s like, “Where are you?” I’m like, “Uh-oh.” I totally forgot I was supposed to help with a dental fair tomorrow. I’m freaking out! I’m like, “C’mon, Matsuzaki, give me a break!”
So, I rush home, trying to prep for the fair. I’m all over the place. I can’t find my materials. I’m like, “Why is this happening?!” I finally find everything, but I’m exhausted.
I crash into bed, thinking about the day. Matsuzaki, you wild! You’ve got your ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I mean, who else gets to surf and slurp ramen in the same day?
