Man, what a day in Mori! Like, seriously, I can’t even. I woke up, and the sun was blazin’ through my window. I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up the local konbini on Kōen-dōri. You know, the one with the best onigiri? Yeah, that one. I grabbed a couple of those rice balls, and I’m feelin’ like a king. But then, bam! I spill soy sauce all over my shirt. Great start, right? I’m like, “Awesome, now I look like a walking sushi roll.” So, I’m walkin’ down the street, tryin’ to shake off the soy sauce shame. I pass by the Mori Art Museum, and I’m like, “Dude, I should check that out.” But nah, I’m not in the mood for art. I’m more of a “let’s eat everything” kinda person. Then I hit up the shopping area on Kōen-dōri again. I’m lookin’ for some cool threads. I find this shop, and they have the cutest stuff! But guess what? They don’t have my size. Ugh! I’m like, “Why do all the cute clothes stop at medium?” So frustrating! Next, I decide to grab some coffee at this little café on Kōen-dōri. The barista is super chill, but the coffee takes forever. I’m sittin’ there, watchin’ the world go by. I see this old dude feeding pigeons. Like, why do people love pigeons? They’re basically flying rats. But whatever, I’m not judging. Finally, I get my coffee, and it’s like liquid gold. I take a sip, and it’s heavenly. But then, I spill it all over my hand. I’m like, “Seriously?!” I’m just a mess today. After that, I decide to hit up the Mori Canal. It’s so pretty there, with the cherry blossoms and all. I’m walkin’ along, and I see this couple taking selfies. They’re all lovey-dovey, and I’m like, “Get a room, people!” But then I remember how nice it is to be in love. Aww, mushy stuff. But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, what the heck, weather? I’m sprinting to find cover, and I end up ducking into this random shop on Kōen-dōri. Turns out, it’s a vintage store! I’m in heaven. I find this rad jacket that’s like, straight outta the ‘80s. I’m like, “I need this!” I buy the jacket, and I’m feelin’ like a rockstar. But then, I step outside, and it’s still pouring. I’m soaked again! I’m like, “Can’t a Saver catch a break?” So, I decide to head home. I’m walkin’ back, and I see this food stall selling takoyaki. I can’t resist. I grab a bunch, and they’re so good! I’m munching away, and life is good again. Finally, I make it back to my place, drenched but happy. I flop on my couch, and I’m like, “What a day!” Mori, you crazy city, you’ve got my heart. Even with the soy sauce stains and the rain, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Tomorrow’s a new day, right? Let’s see what kinda chaos Mori throws my way next!
