Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a tractor driver in Motomiya is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s barely up, and I’m already feelin’ that itch to hit the road. Grabbed my coffee, which was more like sludge than brew, but hey, it’s caffeine, right? First stop, I’m rollin’ down Kōen-dōri. This street is always buzzing. I swear, if I see one more person on their phone, I might just lose it. Like, c’mon, people! Look up! Anyway, I’m cruisin’ along, and outta nowhere, this cat darts across the road. I slam the brakes. Heart’s racin’. Almost gave me a heart attack! Then, I get to the park near Motomiya’s famous cherry blossoms. Man, those trees are somethin’ else. They’re like fluffy pink clouds. I’m sittin’ there, takin’ a breather, and I see this kid tryin’ to climb one. I’m thinkin’, “Dude, you’re gonna fall!” But nah, he makes it to the first branch. I’m like, “Alright, little ninja!” But then, BAM! A gust of wind hits, and the kid’s hangin’ on for dear life. I’m yellin’, “Get down, man!” But he’s just laughin’. Kids these days, right? I’m half mad, half impressed. After that, I head over to the Motomiya City Hall area. Traffic’s a mess. I’m stuck behind this old lady who’s goin’ 20 in a 40 zone. I’m like, “C’mon, lady! We ain’t got all day!” But she’s just cruisin’ along, probably reminiscing about the good ol’ days. I can’t blame her, but still! Finally, I get to the construction site on Shirogane Street. It’s chaos. Cranes everywhere, workers yellin’. I’m tryin’ to back up my tractor, and this dude waves me off like I’m some kinda rookie. I’m like, “Bro, I’ve been doin’ this for years!” But whatever, I just smile and nod. Then, outta nowhere, it starts rainin’. Like, seriously? I’m soaked in seconds. My tractor’s slippin’ and slidin’ like it’s on ice. I’m thinkin’, “This is not how I pictured my day.” But hey, at least it’s not snow, right? So, I’m finally done with the site, and I’m headin’ back. I take a detour through the back streets. Man, Motomiya’s got some hidden gems. Little shops, food stalls, and the smell of yakitori wafting through the air. I can’t resist. I stop for a quick bite. Best decision ever! I’m munchin’ on skewers, and this old guy starts talkin’ to me. He’s got stories for days. I’m laughin’ so hard, I almost choke on my food. He’s tellin’ me about the time he tried to catch a fish in the river and ended up in the water himself. Classic! By the time I’m done, the sun’s settin’, and the sky’s all orange and pink. I’m feelin’ good, ya know? But then, I get back to my tractor, and I realize I left my keys in the ignition. Ugh! I’m like, “Really, dude?!” So, I’m runnin’ around like a headless chicken, retracing my steps. Finally, I find ‘em at the food stall. The old guy had ‘em! He’s laughin’ his head off. I can’t help but laugh too. Finally, I get home, and I’m beat. But man, what a day! Motomiya, you crazy place. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another day in the life of a tractor driver, I guess!
