Yo, let me tell ya about my day in Muramatsu. Man, it was a rollercoaster! I woke up, like, super late. My alarm? Totally didn’t go off. Classic, right? So I’m rushin’ outta my tiny apartment on Kōen-dōri, tryna make it to my first meeting. Muramatsu is this chill city, but it’s got its quirks. Like, you can be walkin’ down the street, and boom! A cat just strolls by like it owns the place. I swear, these cats have more confidence than I do. Anyway, I’m hustlin’ down the street, dodging people, and I trip over a bike. Ugh! So embarrassing. Finally, I get to the café on Sakae-dōri. It’s this cute little spot, right? I grab a coffee, and the barista, this dude with a killer mustache, gives me a weird look. Like, bro, I’m just here for caffeine! I sit down, and my phone buzzes. It’s a text from a student. “Help! I’m lost!” Classic. So I’m like, “Alright, let’s do this.” I hop on my bike (thankfully, no tripping this time) and pedal down to the river. The view of the Chikugo River is dope, but I’m not here for sightseeing. I’m on a mission! I get to the park, and there’s my student, looking all confused. “Dude, you’re at the wrong park!” I say. He’s like, “But I thought this was the one!” I mean, come on! There are, like, three parks in Muramatsu. I can’t even keep ‘em straight sometimes. So I guide him to the right spot, and he’s all grateful. Makes me feel like a hero for a sec. But then, I’m walkin’ back, and I see this street vendor on Nakamura-dōri. He’s selling these crazy-looking snacks. I’m like, “What’s that?” Turns out, it’s some kinda sweet potato thing. I try it, and OMG, it’s amazing! I’m munching away, and suddenly, I’m in a food coma. After that, I head to my next meeting. It’s at this community center near the Muramatsu Castle ruins. I’m pumped, but then I realize I forgot my notes. Ugh! So I wing it. I’m talkin’ about self-determination, and I can see some eyes glazing over. I mean, c’mon, people! This stuff is important! Then, outta nowhere, this lady raises her hand. “What if I don’t know what I want?” she asks. I’m like, “Girl, same!” We end up having this deep convo about finding your path. It’s kinda magical, ya know? But then, just when I think the day’s turning around, I step outside, and it starts pouring. Like, seriously? I’m soaked in seconds. I run to the nearest bus stop on Kōen-dōri, and I’m just standing there, drenched, laughing at how ridiculous my day has been. Finally, I catch a bus back home. I’m sitting there, thinking about all the craziness. Muramatsu is wild, man. It’s got its ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I mean, where else can you trip over a bike, eat amazing snacks, and have deep convos about life all in one day? So yeah, that was my day. Just another adventure in Muramatsu. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
