Man, today was a wild ride in Obihiro! Like, seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up the local konbini on Nishi 2-jō. You know, the one with the best onigiri? I grab my usual—salmon, ofc. But then, bam! I spill my drink all over the floor. Like, why is it always me? The staff just stared. I’m like, “Sorry, my bad!” They laughed, but I was mortified. Then I decided to stroll down to the Obihiro Zoo. I mean, who doesn’t love cute animals, right? But, OMG, the line was insane! I waited forever. I was just standing there, scrolling through my phone, trying to distract myself. Finally, I get in, and guess what? The panda exhibit was closed! Ugh, I was so ready to see those fluffy little dudes. Instead, I ended up watching some grumpy monkeys throw stuff. Not the same vibe, man. After that, I needed a pick-me-up. So, I hit up the famous Obihiro Ramen street. I’m talking about the good stuff, you know? I ordered the spicy miso ramen. It was fire! Like, my taste buds were dancing. But then, I accidentally knocked over my bowl. Bro, the broth went everywhere! I was like, “Can I get a refill?” The chef just shook his head, laughing. I mean, come on! Next, I decided to wander around the city. I walked down to the Tokachi River. The view was stunning! The cherry blossoms were in full bloom. I took a million pics. I felt like a tourist in my own city. But then, I tripped over a rock. Classic me, right? I fell, and my phone went flying. Luckily, it landed on grass. Phew! Then, I bumped into an old friend from high school. We hadn’t seen each other in ages! We started reminiscing about our crazy days at Obihiro High. You remember those cafeteria lunches? Ugh, the mystery meat! We laughed so hard, people were staring. It felt good to reconnect, you know? But then, outta nowhere, it started pouring! Like, seriously, the sky just opened up. I ran for cover under a shop on Nishi 1-jō. I was soaked! I thought, “Great, just great.” But then, I saw a street performer. He was playing the guitar and singing. His voice was amazing! I forgot all about the rain. I even tossed him some yen. Finally, I decided to head home. I was exhausted but happy. Obihiro had thrown me a curveball today, but I loved it. I mean, who else can say they spilled ramen, tripped over rocks, and sang in the rain all in one day? So yeah, that was my day in Obihiro. Full of ups and downs, but that’s life, right? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
