OMG, what a day! Like, seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Ogunimachi, right? This cute lil’ town in Japan, surrounded by mountains and all that nature vibe. I’m a stylist, so I’m all about the fashion, but today? Today was a whole different ball game. First off, I’m running late. Classic me. I spill coffee on my fave shirt. Ugh! It’s like, why do I even bother? I rush outta my apartment on Kōen-dōri, dodging the old ladies with their shopping carts. They move like they own the place. I mean, c’mon, I got places to be! So, I’m hustling down the street, and I pass this cute little café, Café Kaze. The smell of fresh pastries hits me. I’m like, “No time, girl!” But my stomach’s like, “You better stop!” I swear, I could hear it growling. But I keep moving. Gotta get to my first appointment at the salon on Shōwa-dōri. I get there, and the client is a total diva. Like, she wants a complete makeover, but she’s late too! I’m standing there, tapping my foot, thinking, “Girl, I got places to be!” Finally, she shows up, and she’s like, “I want to look like a K-pop star!” I’m like, “Sure, but you gotta give me more than 10 minutes!” We start working, and I’m trying to channel my inner genius. I’m mixing colors, cutting hair, and she’s just sitting there scrolling through her phone. I’m like, “Hello? I’m right here!” But whatever, I’m in my zone. Then, outta nowhere, the fire alarm goes off! Like, seriously? In the middle of my masterpiece? Everyone’s freaking out, and I’m just standing there, scissors in hand, thinking, “This is not how I pictured my day.” We all spill out onto the street, and I’m trying to keep my cool. I mean, Ogunimachi is beautiful, but not when you’re standing in a crowd of panicking people. After the drama, we finally get back inside. I finish the hair, and she looks fab! I’m feeling all proud, but then she says, “I wanted it longer!” I’m like, “Girl, you said short!” I could feel my blood boiling. But I just smile and nod. Next, I head over to the market on Nakamachi Street. I need some inspo, ya know? The vibe is chill, and I’m browsing through all these cute shops. I find this amazing vintage kimono. It’s like, calling my name! But then, I see the price tag. I’m like, “Nope, not today!” I grab some street food instead. Takoyaki, y’all! It’s so good, I could cry. I’m munching away, and this little kid runs by, almost knocks me over. I’m like, “Watch it, kid!” But he just giggles and runs off. Kids, man. They’re wild. Then, I get a call from my bestie. She’s having a meltdown over her outfit for a party. I’m like, “Girl, I’m in Ogunimachi, living my best life!” But I can’t leave her hanging. So, I rush back to my place, and we do a virtual styling session. I’m throwing ideas at her, and she’s loving it. It’s like, “Yes! This is why I do this!” Finally, I crash on my couch, exhausted. I look out the window at the mountains. Ogunimachi is so peaceful at night. I can hear the crickets, and it’s kinda nice. I think about my day, all the craziness, and I can’t help but smile. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but that’s life, right? Ogunimachi, you’ve got my heart, even when you drive me crazy!
