Man, what a day in Oyama! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from it. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up the local konbini on Kōen-dōri. You know, the one with the best onigiri? I grab a couple, and boom! I spill soy sauce all over my shirt. Great start, huh? I’m standing there, looking like a walking sushi disaster. But whatever, I’m a game designer, not a fashion icon. So, I’m walking down the street, and I see this cute little café on Shimo-ōsaka. I’m like, “Let’s get some caffeine!” I order a matcha latte, and the barista is super chill. We start chatting about games, and he tells me about this indie game fest happening later. I’m like, “Heck yeah, I’m in!” But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. I mean, like, monsoon-level rain. I dash outside, and I’m soaked in seconds. I’m running down the street, dodging puddles like I’m in some weird platformer. I’m laughing, though. It’s kinda fun, right? Finally, I make it to the fest at Oyama City Hall. It’s packed! I’m hyped, but also kinda overwhelmed. So many people, so many games. I try this VR thing, and I’m flailing around like a total noob. Everyone’s watching, and I’m like, “Great, I’m the clown of the day.” But hey, I get a free sticker, so it’s all good. Then, I bump into this dude, right? He’s got a game about cats. I’m like, “Cats? I’m in!” We start talking, and he’s super passionate. I’m vibing with him, and we end up brainstorming ideas. It’s like a creative explosion! I’m feeling all the feels, you know? But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, and he’s like, “Dude, you gotta come to the park!” I’m like, “What’s happening?” Apparently, there’s a surprise fireworks show at Oyama Park. I’m like, “No way!” So, I bolt outta there, racing through the streets. I get to the park, and it’s packed. Families, couples, kids running around. I find a spot, and the show starts. Fireworks light up the sky, and I’m just standing there, mouth agape. It’s beautiful, man. I forget all the craziness of the day. Just me, the fireworks, and the vibe. But then, I hear this loud crash. I turn, and some dude just knocked over a food stall. Seriously? I’m like, “Dude, chill!” But everyone’s laughing, and it’s just one of those moments, you know? After the show, I’m walking back, and I can’t help but smile. Oyama’s got this energy. The streets, the people, the food—everything’s alive. I’m thinking about all the ideas I got today. It’s like the city’s a game itself, full of surprises and challenges. So, yeah, that was my day. From soy sauce disasters to fireworks and cat games. Oyama, you wild! Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
