Man, what a day in Ryuo! I swear, I’m still buzzing from all the craziness. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First stop, I hit up the local market on Kōen-dōri. You know, the one with all the fresh fish and weird snacks? I’m strolling through, minding my own biz, when I spot this giant tuna. Like, HUGE. I’m talking about a fish that could probably take me in a fight. I snap a pic, and this old dude next to me starts yelling about how it’s the best tuna in Japan. I’m like, “Cool, man, but I’m not eating a fish that could’ve been my pet.” Then, I decide to grab some yakitori from this little stand on Shōwa-dōri. Best decision ever! I’m munching away, and this kid runs by, trips, and spills his drink all over me. I’m soaked! I’m like, “Dude, what’s your problem?” But then he looks up with these big eyes, and I can’t even be mad. Kids, man. They’re like tiny, chaotic bundles of joy. After that, I head over to the Ryuo Castle ruins. It’s a bit of a hike, but the view is worth it. I’m standing there, taking it all in, when I see this couple trying to take a selfie. They’re struggling, like, seriously, how hard can it be? I’m just about to offer help when the guy drops his phone. It bounces off a rock and lands in a bush. I’m dying laughing. They’re not even mad, just cracking up too. Love that vibe! So, I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy, right? But then, I get a call from my boss. Ugh. Apparently, I forgot to book a tour for a group coming in from Tokyo. Like, how do you forget that? I’m freaking out, running down the streets of Ryuo, dodging people like I’m in some kind of video game. I’m on Kōen-dōri again, and I swear, I almost knocked over a lady with a giant umbrella. Sorry, lady! Finally, I get to the meeting point, and guess what? The group is late! I’m standing there, sweating bullets, thinking I’m gonna get fired. But then, they show up, and they’re all super chill. We start the tour, and I’m back in my element. I’m cracking jokes, showing them the cool spots, like the Ryuo Shrine. It’s so peaceful there, you can almost forget the chaos of the city. But wait, it gets better! We’re walking down the street, and I spot this street performer. He’s playing the shamisen, and it’s beautiful. I’m like, “Guys, check this out!” We all stop, and I’m feeling all the feels. Music just hits different, you know? As the sun sets, we wrap up the tour at a little izakaya on Shōwa-dōri. I’m finally relaxing, sipping on some sake, and the group is laughing. I’m telling them about my day, and they’re loving it. I’m like, “You guys have no idea how close I was to losing it today!” By the end of the night, I’m exhausted but happy. Ryuo, you wild city, you’ve got my heart. I can’t wait to do it all over again tomorrow. Just maybe with a little less chaos, yeah?
