Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a gardener in Sakaidecho is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I head down to Kagawa Street. You know, the one with all the cute little cafes? I’m thinkin’ I’ll grab a coffee before I hit the gardens. But nah, the line’s longer than my to-do list. I’m standin’ there, watchin’ people sip their lattes, and I’m like, “C’mon, people! I got plants to tend to!” Finally, I get my coffee, and it’s cold. Like, ice-cold. Ugh! I’m fuming, but whatever, I chug it down. Gotta fuel up, right? So, I’m off to the park near the Sakaidecho Station. It’s a beautiful spot, man. Cherry blossoms everywhere, and I’m ready to make those flowers shine. But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by, kicks a soccer ball, and BAM! Right into my freshly planted petunias. I’m like, “Dude, what the heck?!” The kid just laughs and runs off. I swear, if I had a dollar for every time a kid ruined my plants, I’d be rich. After that, I’m tryin’ to salvage my petunias, and guess who shows up? My neighbor, Mr. Tanaka. He’s this old dude who thinks he knows everything about gardening. He starts lecturing me about how I should’ve planted them deeper. I’m like, “Thanks, Mr. Tanaka, but I didn’t ask for a gardening seminar.” He just chuckles and walks away. I mean, c’mon! Then, I decide to take a break and chill by the Sakaide River. It’s peaceful there, ya know? I sit down, take a deep breath, and just enjoy the view. But then, I see this group of tourists trying to take selfies. They’re blocking the whole path! I’m like, “Excuse me, folks, I’m just tryna enjoy nature here!” They look at me like I’m the crazy gardener. Whatever, I just walk around them. Later, I head over to the Sakaidecho Market. Man, that place is a treasure trove! Fresh veggies, local crafts, and the best street food. I grab some takoyaki, and it’s heavenly. But then, I spill some on my shirt. Great. Just great. Now I look like a walking food disaster. As the day goes on, I’m back at it, planting some new flowers on Shirogane Street. It’s a busy road, and cars are zooming by. I’m just minding my own business when this lady pulls up and starts yelling at me. “Why are you blocking the road?!” I’m like, “Lady, I’m not blocking anything! I’m just trying to make this place pretty!” She rolls her eyes and drives off. Seriously, some people just don’t get it. Finally, I wrap up my day, and I’m exhausted. I head home, and as I’m walking, I see the sunset over the hills. It’s beautiful, man. Makes all the craziness worth it. I think about how Sakaidecho is my home, with all its quirks and surprises. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another day in the life of a gardener in Sakaidecho!
