Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a matador in Shido is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s blazin’ through my window on Kōen-dōri. I’m like, “Great, another day of dodgin’ horns and drama.” First off, I hit up this little café on Shido’s main street, you know, the one with the cute barista? Yeah, that one. I grab my usual—matcha latte, extra foam. I swear, that foam is like a cloud. But then, bam! My phone buzzes. It’s my manager, all frantic. “Dude, the bull’s gone rogue!” I’m like, “What do you mean rogue? Is it on a coffee break?” Turns out, the bull escaped from the pen near Shido Park. I’m thinkin’, “Great, just what I need. A runaway bull in the city.” So, I chug my latte and bolt outta there. I’m sprinting down Kōen-dōri, dodging tourists and their selfie sticks. Like, seriously, who needs a selfie with a bull? I finally get to the park, and there’s this crowd. People are laughing, filming, and I’m like, “This ain’t a circus, folks!” I spot the bull, just chillin’ by the fountain, like it’s on vacation. I’m half-expecting it to order a drink. So, I try to wrangle it back. I’m all, “C’mon, buddy, time to go home!” But this bull? It’s got other plans. It charges at some dude in a bright yellow shirt. I’m like, “Dude, not the shirt! Anything but the shirt!” Finally, I manage to get it back to the pen. I’m sweating like a sinner in church. The crowd goes wild, clapping and cheering. I’m like, “Yeah, I’m the hero of the day!” But then, I trip over my own feet. Classic. After that chaos, I need a breather. I stroll down to the Shido waterfront. The view is killer. The sun’s setting, painting the sky all kinds of orange and pink. I sit on a bench, just takin’ it all in. Then, I see this little kid feeding pigeons. I’m like, “Man, I wish I could be that carefree.” But then, outta nowhere, this seagull swoops down and snatches the kid’s sandwich. The kid starts crying, and I’m like, “Dude, that’s nature for ya!” I can’t help but laugh. Life’s wild, man. As I’m chillin’, I get a text from my buddy. He’s like, “You up for some drinks later?” I’m like, “Heck yeah! I need to celebrate surviving today!” So, I head over to this bar on Shido’s backstreets. It’s got that cozy vibe, you know? I walk in, and the bartender’s like, “The usual?” I nod. He pours me a sake, and I down it like it’s water. I’m feelin’ good, ready to share my bull-wrangling tales. But then, my phone buzzes again. It’s my manager. “We got a show tomorrow!” I’m like, “Dude, can’t I just have one night off?” But nah, the show must go on. So, I’m sittin’ there, drink in hand, thinkin’ about how crazy life is in Shido. One minute, I’m dodging bulls, the next, I’m chillin’ by the waterfront. It’s a wild ride, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. As I stumble home, I can’t help but smile. Shido’s got my heart, even with all its craziness. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
