OMG, what a day! So, I’m babysitting in Shobara, right? And let me tell ya, it was a rollercoaster. First off, I’m at this cute little house on Kōen-dōri. The kids, man, they’re wild! Like, I thought I was ready for anything, but wow. So, I get there, and the first thing I see is this giant inflatable dinosaur in the yard. Like, who even does that? I’m thinking, “Great, I’m babysitting a T-Rex today.” 😂 The kids, Yuki and Haruto, are already bouncing off the walls. I mean, it’s like they had a sugar rush or something. We start off with some arts and crafts. I’m trying to keep it chill, but Yuki spills paint everywhere. I’m talking splatters on the walls, the floor, even on the poor dino! I’m like, “Yuki, what are you doing?!” She just giggles and says, “It’s modern art!” Ugh, kids and their “artistic vision.” Then, we decide to go for a walk. We hit up the Shobara Park, which is super pretty. Cherry blossoms everywhere! 🌸 But of course, Haruto decides he wants to climb a tree. I’m like, “Dude, you’re gonna fall!” But he’s all, “I’m Spiderman!” So, I’m standing there, half panicking, half laughing. Suddenly, this old lady walks by. She’s like, “You should let him climb. Kids need to explore!” I’m thinking, “Yeah, but I don’t wanna be responsible for a broken arm!” But whatever, I let him climb. He’s up there, feeling like a king, and I’m just praying he doesn’t take a tumble. After that, we hit up the local konbini on Kōen-dōri. I’m trying to get some snacks, but the kids are like, “Can we get ice cream?” I’m like, “Sure, why not?” So, we grab some soft serve. Yuki gets chocolate, and Haruto gets vanilla. I’m just happy they’re not fighting for once. But then, outta nowhere, Haruto drops his ice cream. I swear, it’s like time stopped. He looks at me with these big puppy eyes, and I’m like, “Oh no, not the sad face!” So, I buy him another one. I’m basically a walking ATM at this point. We head back home, and I’m thinking, “Finally, some peace.” But nope! Yuki decides it’s a good idea to have a dance party in the living room. I’m talking loud music, spinning around, the whole shebang. I’m just trying to keep up, but I’m also thinking, “Why did I sign up for this?” Then, the doorbell rings. It’s their parents! I’m like, “Phew, I survived!” But then, Yuki runs to the door, slips on the floor, and boom! She falls right in front of her parents. I’m dying inside, like, “Please don’t let them think I’m a terrible babysitter!” But they just laugh it off. I’m relieved, but also like, “What a day!” I’m exhausted, but honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Shobara is wild, the kids are wild, and I’m just trying to keep my sanity. So yeah, that was my day. Full of chaos, laughter, and a bit of drama. Can’t wait to do it all over again!
