Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from all the craziness that went down in Tokuyama. Like, where do I even start? So, I woke up late, as usual. My alarm? Yeah, it totally betrayed me. I jumped outta bed, threw on whatever I could find. I mean, who needs matching socks, right? Anyway, I bolted outta my apartment on Kōnan-dōri, and let me tell ya, the streets were buzzing. Tokuyama was alive, like, full-on anime vibes. First stop? The local konbini. Gotta grab my morning coffee, or I’m basically a zombie. I hit up FamilyMart on Kōnan-dōri. The barista? Super chill. He even threw in a free onigiri. I was like, “Dude, you’re a lifesaver!” But then, I spilled half my coffee on my shirt. Classic me, right? After that, I decided to stroll down to the Tokuyama City Museum. I mean, I’ve lived here forever, but I’ve never actually been. What a mistake! The exhibits were dope. They had this whole section on the history of the area. Did you know Tokuyama used to be a major port? Crazy! I was totally vibing with the old-school photos. But then, I got lost in the museum. Like, how do you get lost in a museum? I ended up in the bathroom for like 15 minutes. When I finally got out, I was starving. So, I hit up this little ramen joint on Shimozato-dōri. Best decision ever! The ramen was so good, I almost cried. I mean, I’m not a crier, but that broth? Pure magic. I was slurping like a pro, and the old dude next to me was giving me the side-eye. Whatever, man. You don’t know good food when you see it! Then, outta nowhere, it started pouring. I mean, like, monsoon-level rain. I dashed outta the ramen shop, but my umbrella? Yeah, it was broken. I looked like a drowned rat running down the street. I was so mad! Why does this always happen to me? I ducked into a little shop on Kōnan-dōri to wait it out. Turns out, it was a cute little vintage store. I found this sick jacket that looked like it was from the ‘80s. Totally bought it. I mean, who doesn’t love a good thrift find? After the rain finally let up, I decided to head to the Tokuyama Port. I needed some fresh air. The view was stunning! The sunset over the water was like something outta a movie. I took a moment to just breathe it all in. But then, I saw a bunch of kids playing soccer on the beach. They were having a blast, and I got a little jealous. I used to be that kid, you know? But then, BAM! A soccer ball came flying at me. I ducked, but it hit my leg. I was like, “Seriously?!” The kids laughed, and I couldn’t help but laugh too. I mean, it was kinda funny. As I was leaving, I bumped into an old friend from high school. We hadn’t seen each other in ages! We ended up chatting for like an hour. Turns out, he’s a photographer now. He showed me some of his work, and wow, he’s talented! We made plans to hang out again. Finally, I headed home, exhausted but happy. Tokuyama really knows how to throw a curveball. I mean, one minute I’m lost in a museum, the next I’m getting hit by a soccer ball. What a wild ride! So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Tokuyama, you crazy, but I love ya!
