Man, what a day! I woke up in Tsukuba, and let me tell ya, it was a rollercoaster. First off, I’m a potter, right? So, I’m all about that clay life. But today? Today was wild. I strolled down Kenkyu no Michi, the “Road of Research.” Sounds fancy, huh? But it’s just a street with a bunch of nerdy buildings. I mean, I love science and all, but c’mon, I’m just trying to get my coffee fix at that cute little café, Café de Lune. They make the best matcha lattes. Like, seriously, I could swim in it. So, I’m waiting in line, and this dude in front of me spills his drink all over the counter. I’m like, “Bro, what are you doing?” He just laughs it off. I’m standing there, trying not to lose my mind. I mean, I’m a potter, not a janitor! But whatever, I finally get my latte, and it’s glorious. Then I head over to the Tsukuba Center, right? It’s this big shopping area. I’m thinking, “Let’s get some clay.” I walk into this art supply store, and it’s packed. Like, why is everyone in here? I can’t even move! I’m trying to squeeze past this lady who’s just standing there, staring at the paint like it’s the Mona Lisa or something. I’m like, “Excuse me, ma’am, I need to get my clay fix!” Finally, I grab my clay and head out. But then, bam! I bump into my buddy Hiro. He’s like, “Yo, let’s grab lunch!” I’m starving, so I’m down. We hit up this little ramen joint on Yatabe Street. Best ramen ever! I’m slurping away, and Hiro’s telling me about his latest project. He’s making this huge sculpture. I’m like, “Dude, you’re gonna need a crane for that!” After lunch, I’m feeling pumped. I head back to my studio on Sengen Street. It’s my happy place. I start working on this new vase. It’s gonna be epic. But then, my wheel starts acting up. Ugh! I’m like, “C’mon, not today!” I’m wrestling with it, and it’s just not cooperating. I’m sweating, cursing under my breath. Then, outta nowhere, my neighbor, Mrs. Tanaka, pops in. She’s this sweet old lady who always brings me snacks. She’s like, “You okay, dear?” I’m like, “Not really, my wheel’s possessed!” She just laughs and hands me some mochi. I swear, that mochi is magic. I take a bite, and suddenly, I’m back in the zone. I finally get my vase going, and it’s looking good. I’m feeling all proud, ya know? But then, I hear this loud crash outside. I rush out, and there’s this guy who just knocked over a bike. I’m like, “Dude, what’s wrong with you?” He just shrugs and walks away. I’m standing there, shaking my head. Tsukuba, man. As the sun sets, I’m wrapping up my day. I walk back through the streets, feeling grateful. Tsukuba’s got this vibe, ya know? The mix of science, art, and just life. I love it here. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but that’s life, right? Just gotta roll with it, like clay on a wheel.
