Man, what a day! Tsuruga, you wild city! I woke up thinking it’d be chill, but nah, life had other plans. First off, I hit the streets of Tsuruga, and lemme tell ya, the vibe was electric. I mean, who knew a small city could pack such a punch? So, I’m strolling down Kōtō-dōri, right? Just vibin’ to my tunes, when BAM! A cat darts across the street. Like, dude, where you think you’re going? I almost tripped over my own feet. But hey, it’s Japan, so I just laughed it off. Cats are basically royalty here. Then I decided to grab some breakfast at this little joint on Kōtō-dōri. The food? OMG, the best! I ordered some fresh sashimi. Like, I could’ve sworn the fish was still swimming. But then, the waiter spills soy sauce all over my shirt. Ugh! I was like, “Dude, I didn’t order a shirt makeover!” But he was super apologetic, so I couldn’t stay mad. After that, I wandered over to the Tsuruga Port. The view? Breathtaking! The ocean was sparkling like diamonds. I snapped a few pics for the ‘gram. Gotta show off, right? But then, outta nowhere, this seagull swoops down and steals my onigiri! I was like, “Seriously?!” I chased that bird down the pier like a madman. Spoiler alert: I lost. Next, I hit up the Tsuruga Museum. I’m not usually a museum person, but this place was dope! They had all this cool stuff about the city’s history. Did you know Tsuruga was a major port during the Meiji era? Mind blown! I was totally geeking out. But then, I overheard this group of tourists complaining about the “lack of modern art.” Like, c’mon! It’s history, people! After the museum, I decided to take a stroll along the beach. The sand was warm, and the waves were crashing. I plopped down and just soaked it all in. But then, I saw this kid building a sandcastle. It was epic! I mean, I was ready to crown him king of Tsuruga. But then, his little sister comes over and kicks it down. I felt that pain in my soul. Later, I headed to the Tsuruga Fish Market. Oh man, the smells! Fish everywhere! I tried some grilled squid. It was so good, I almost cried. But then, I saw this guy trying to haggle for a fish. He was like, “I’ll give you 500 yen!” The vendor just laughed. I mean, come on, dude! As the sun started to set, I made my way to the Tsuruga Castle. The view from up there? Wow. I felt like I was on top of the world. But then, I realized I had lost my phone. Panic mode activated! I retraced my steps, running around like a headless chicken. Finally found it at the fish market. Phew! By the time I got back to my hotel, I was exhausted. But you know what? I wouldn’t trade that day for anything. Tsuruga, you’ve got my heart. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
