First off, Uenohara is this chill lil’ city, but it’s got its quirks. Like, you got the mountains all around, and the river, the Fuefuki River, just chillin’ there. It’s pretty, but I’m not here for a nature walk. I’m here to sell some stuff, ya know?
So I’m sprinting down the street, dodging old folks and their slow-paced lives. Seriously, how do they move so slow? I’m like, “C’mon, I got places to be!” Finally, I hit up the main square, and it’s packed. Like, where did all these people come from?
I set up my booth, right by the Uenohara City Hall. It’s a nice spot, but the sun is blazin’. I’m sweatin’ like a pig. And then, boom! My first customer, this dude, he’s all hyped about my live ads. I’m like, “Yeah, man, let’s do this!” But then he starts haggling. Like, dude, I’m not a flea market!
I’m tryin’ to keep my cool, but inside, I’m fuming. I mean, c’mon, I’m here to make a living! After a bit of back and forth, I finally get him to buy. Score! But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by, knocks over my display. Everything goes flying! I’m talkin’ chaos, man.
I’m pickin’ up my stuff, and I see this old lady on the corner of Kōen-dōri and Shōwa-dōri. She’s just watchin’ me, laughin’. I’m like, “Really? This is funny to you?” But then she gives me this big ol’ smile, and I can’t help but laugh too. It’s like, what’s life without a lil’ chaos, right?
After that, I finally catch a break. A group of teens comes by, and they’re all about my ads. They’re takin’ selfies with my stuff, and I’m feelin’ like a rockstar. I mean, who knew Uenohara had such cool kids? They’re all about that social media life. I’m like, “Tag me, fam!”
But then, just when I think it’s smooth sailing, the sky opens up. Rain, outta nowhere! I’m scrambling to cover my booth, and I’m soaked. Like, drenched. I’m standin’ there, lookin’ like a wet dog, and I can’t help but laugh. This day is a mess!
But ya know what? I love it. Uenohara’s got this vibe. The people, the streets, the unexpectedness. It’s like a rollercoaster. I’m just a live ad guy, but today? Today was somethin’ else.
As the rain slows down, I pack up my stuff. I’m exhausted but happy. I stroll down to the Fuefuki River, just to chill. The sunset is insane, painting the sky all these colors. I sit there, thinkin’ about the day.
