Wow, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in Changnyeong, right? The sun was shining, birds chirping, and I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up the local café on Gyeongju-ro. You know, the one with the cute barista? Yeah, that one. I ordered my usual – iced Americano. But guess what? They were out of coffee beans! Like, how do you run out of coffee? I was ready to throw a fit. But then, I saw the barista’s face. He looked so sorry, I couldn’t stay mad. I just rolled my eyes and got a green tea latte instead. Not my jam, but whatever. After that, I decided to stroll down the streets. Changnyeong is so pretty, man. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom on the streets near the Changnyeong Confucian School. I mean, it was like a scene from a K-drama. I was feeling all poetic and stuff. But then, BAM! A pigeon pooped on my shoulder. Like, really? I’m just trying to vibe here! I laughed it off, but inside, I was like, “Why me?” So, I kept walking, trying to shake off the pigeon drama. I hit up the Changnyeong Market. OMG, the food! I could smell the tteokbokki from a mile away. I was like a bloodhound. I got some, and it was spicy AF. My mouth was on fire, but I was living my best life. I even bought some kimbap for later. Then, I bumped into this old dude selling handmade pottery. He was super chill and started telling me about the history of Changnyeong. Apparently, it’s been around since the Silla Dynasty. Mind blown! I mean, I knew it was old, but wow. He was so passionate, I almost bought a vase. Almost. I’m not that fancy. But then, the day took a turn. I was walking down Jeonggwan-ro, and I saw a bunch of people gathered around. Curiosity got the best of me, so I went to check it out. Turns out, there was a street performance! These guys were doing some insane breakdancing. I was hyped! I started cheering, and next thing I know, I’m in the front row, trying to dance along. Spoiler: I can’t dance. But who cares? I was having a blast! Then, outta nowhere, it started to rain. Like, heavy rain. I was soaked in seconds. I was like, “Great, just great.” But then, the dancers kept going! They were slipping and sliding, and it was hilarious. I couldn’t stop laughing. I mean, who knew rain could make a street performance even better? After the show, I was freezing and needed to dry off. I ducked into a little shop on Dongbu-ro. They had the coziest blankets. I bought one, and it was like wrapping myself in a cloud. Best purchase ever. Finally, I decided to head home. I was exhausted but happy. I mean, what a rollercoaster! Changnyeong really knows how to keep things interesting. I got home, kicked off my shoes, and just collapsed on the couch. I was like, “What even just happened?” So yeah, that was my day in Changnyeong. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
