Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I’m a clergyman, right? But today, I felt more like a circus performer in Hayang. First off, I woke up late. Like, super late. My alarm? Totally ignored it. I bolted outta bed, threw on my robe, and dashed out the door. Hayang is a wild place, y’know? It’s got this mix of old-school charm and modern chaos. I mean, you got the Han River flowing through, and then there’s the hustle on Gyeongbuk-ro. I swear, if I had a won for every time I tripped over a sidewalk crack, I’d be rich. So, I’m hustling down the street, dodging people like I’m in some kind of video game. I pass by the Hayang Market, and oh man, the smell of tteokbokki hits me like a freight train. I’m like, “Dude, I need that in my life.” But no time! I gotta get to the church. Finally, I make it to the church, and it’s packed. Like, standing-room-only packed. I’m thinking, “Wow, did I miss some kind of holy flash mob?” Turns out, it was just a wedding. A wedding! And I’m the one supposed to officiate. No pressure, right? So, I’m up there, trying to keep it together. The couple looks so in love, and I’m like, “Aww, this is sweet.” But then, the best man? He’s got this huge grin, and I’m thinking, “Dude, don’t drop the rings!” And guess what? He drops them. Right in the middle of my heartfelt speech. I almost lost it. After the wedding, I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy, but then I step outside. And bam! It’s pouring rain. Like, monsoon-level rain. I’m soaked in seconds. I’m standing there, looking like a drowned rat, and I can’t help but laugh. “Great day for a swim,” I mutter to myself. I decide to head to the café on Dongbu-daero. I need coffee, like, yesterday. I walk in, and it’s packed. I’m waiting in line, and this kid in front of me is just bouncing off the walls. I’m thinking, “Dude, chill! It’s just coffee.” But then he turns around and says, “Are you a priest?” I’m like, “Uh, yeah?” And he goes, “Can you bless my chocolate croissant?” I almost spit out my drink. Kids, man. Finally, I get my coffee, and I’m feeling a bit better. I sit down, and this old lady comes up to me. She’s like, “You’re the clergyman, right? My cat needs a blessing.” I’m like, “Sure, why not?” So, I end up blessing her cat in the middle of the café. People are staring, and I’m just rolling with it. After that, I decide to take a stroll by the river. The view is stunning. The sunset over the Han River? Pure magic. I’m standing there, soaking it all in, and I think, “This is why I love Hayang.” But then, I see a group of kids playing soccer, and one of them kicks the ball right at me. I dodge it like a pro, but then I trip over my own feet. Classic. As I’m walking back, I can’t help but think about how crazy today was. From weddings to cat blessings to almost getting hit by a soccer ball. Hayang, you never cease to amaze me. I’m exhausted, but I wouldn’t trade this day for anything. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another wild ride in Hayang. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
