Man, what a day! Seriously, Hwasun is wild. I woke up thinking it’d be chill, just another day in this small city. But nah, life had other plans. First off, I hit up the local café on Gwangju-ro. You know, the one with the cute barista? Yeah, that one. I ordered my usual – iced Americano. But guess what? They were outta coffee beans! Like, how do you run outta coffee? I was ready to throw a fit. I mean, c’mon, it’s Hwasun! Get your act together! So, I settled for some weird herbal tea. Not my jam, but whatever. I sat outside, people-watching. Hwasun’s streets are always buzzing. Kids running around, old folks chatting on the benches. It’s like a scene from a movie, but with more ajummas yelling at their grandkids. Then, I decided to stroll down Jeongja-ro. It’s a pretty street, lined with cherry blossoms. But today? Ugh, pollen everywhere! I sneezed like a hundred times. My eyes were watering. I looked like a hot mess. But hey, at least the flowers were pretty, right? Next, I hit up the Hwasun Dolmen Site. I mean, I’m a consumption psychologist, but I love history too. Those dolmens are ancient! Like, how did they even build those? I was geeking out, taking pics, when suddenly, a group of tourists showed up. They were LOUD. Like, why do people think they need to shout when they’re on vacation? Chill, guys! After that, I was starving. I wandered over to the local market on Hwasun-ro. Man, the food there is insane! I grabbed some tteokbokki. Spicy, chewy goodness. But then, I saw this vendor selling these weird-looking fish cakes. I was like, “Nah, I’m good.” But my curiosity got the better of me. I tried one. OMG, it was like a flavor explosion! I was so surprised! I almost dropped my tteokbokki. Then, I bumped into an old friend from college. We hadn’t seen each other in ages! We started reminiscing about our wild days. You know, the usual – late-night study sessions that turned into karaoke marathons. Good times! But then, he mentioned he was moving to Seoul. I felt this weird mix of happiness and sadness. Like, yay for him, but boo for me. Hwasun’s gonna feel empty without him. As the sun started to set, I decided to chill by the Hwasun River. It’s so peaceful there. I sat on a bench, just soaking it all in. The water was glistening, and the sky was turning all these crazy colors. I felt this wave of gratitude. Hwasun, with all its quirks, is home. But then, outta nowhere, a bunch of kids started playing soccer nearby. They were loud and rowdy, kicking the ball everywhere. One kid kicked it right at me! I dodged it like a ninja. I was like, “Dude, watch it!” But they just laughed. Kids, man. Finally, I headed back home, exhausted but happy. Hwasun is a rollercoaster, for real. It’s got its ups and downs, but that’s what makes it special. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So yeah, that was my day. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. Just another day in Hwasun, I guess!
