OMG, what a day! So, I’m a babysitter, right? And today was just... wow. I mean, Jeongeup is usually chill, but not today. First off, I got to the kids’ place on Jeongeup’s main street, Gyeongju-ro. It was like a scene from a movie. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I thought, “This is gonna be easy-peasy.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. The kids, Jisoo and Minho, were bouncing off the walls. Like, seriously, I thought they had sugar for breakfast. We started with some arts and crafts. I set up on the floor, and Jisoo decided to paint her face instead of the paper. I mean, who needs a canvas when you have a face, right? 😂 Then, outta nowhere, Minho starts yelling about a “monster” outside. I’m like, “Dude, chill. It’s just a cat.” But no, he was convinced it was a dragon. A DRAGON! In Jeongeup! I had to drag him to the window on Jeongeup’s Dongbu-ro to show him it was just Mr. Kim’s fluffy cat. After that, we hit the park on Jeongeup’s Seongdong-ro. It’s a nice spot, but today? Ugh. There were like a million kids there. I swear, it was like a mini festival. Jisoo runs off to the swings, and Minho decides he’s a superhero. He jumps off the slide and lands right in a puddle. I’m talking full-on splash zone. I was so mad, but then he just laughed. I couldn’t help but laugh too. Kids, man. Then, we went for ice cream at this cute little shop on Jeongeup’s Jeongdong-ro. I got a scoop of green tea, and Jisoo got strawberry. Minho? He wanted all the flavors. Like, dude, chill. You can’t have a scoop of everything! But he did. And guess what? He dropped it. All over the ground. I was like, “Seriously?!” But he just looked up at me with those big eyes, and I melted. After ice cream, we headed back home. But on the way, we passed by the Jeongeup Cultural Center. There was a street performer doing magic tricks. I mean, who doesn’t love a good magic show? Minho was all about it, yelling, “Do the one with the rabbit!” I was just trying to keep it together. Finally, we got home, and I was exhausted. I plopped down on the couch, and Jisoo comes over with her face still painted. She says, “Can we do it again tomorrow?” I was like, “Umm, let’s see how I feel.” But honestly? I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So yeah, Jeongeup can be wild. But it’s also full of surprises. I love these kids, even when they drive me nuts. Can’t wait for the next adventure!
