Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Jeonju, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m running late. Classic me. I sprint down Hanok Village, dodging tourists like I’m in some weird game of Frogger. I mean, c’mon, people! It’s 8 AM! Why are you taking selfies with every single hanok? Get a move on! Finally, I make it to the office on Jeonjucheon-ro, and guess what? My boss is already there, looking like he’s had three cups of coffee and a side of stress. He’s like, “Where have you been?” I’m like, “Dude, I was fighting off a horde of tourists!” But he doesn’t even crack a smile. Ugh. So, I sit down, and my computer decides to throw a tantrum. It’s like, “Nah, I’m not gonna work today.” Great. Just great. I’m staring at the screen, and it’s just spinning. I’m about to lose it. I mean, I could’ve been enjoying bibimbap at a cute little spot on Gyeonggijeon instead of this tech nightmare. Then, my phone buzzes. It’s my friend, Minji. She’s like, “Let’s grab lunch at Jeonju Hanok Village!” I’m like, “Yes! Finally, something good!” But then I remember I have a meeting. Ugh, adulting sucks. The meeting rolls around, and it’s a total snooze fest. I’m zoning out, thinking about all the delicious food I could be eating. I mean, have you tried the Jeonju-style bibimbap? It’s like a party in your mouth! But no, I’m stuck here listening to numbers and graphs. Kill me now. After the meeting, I sneak out for a quick bite. I hit up this little place on Eunhaeng-ro. The smell of gochujang hits me like a wave. I order bibimbap, of course. It’s like a warm hug after a long day. I’m shoveling it in, and I swear, I could eat a mountain of this stuff. But then, I get a call. It’s my boss again. He’s like, “Where are you?” I’m like, “Dude, I’m literally two blocks away!” He’s all stressed about some report. I’m like, “Chill, I’ll be back in a sec.” But I’m not rushing. I mean, priorities, right? I finally get back, and the vibe is tense. My coworker, Jisoo, is on the verge of tears. Turns out, she spilled coffee all over the new printer. I’m like, “Girl, it’s just a printer!” But she’s freaking out. I mean, it’s not like we’re printing the next great novel here. Then, outta nowhere, the fire alarm goes off. Seriously? In the middle of all this chaos? We all scramble out, and I’m thinking, “This is it. This is how I go.” But it’s just a drill. Phew! I’m not ready to meet my maker yet. After all that, I finally get to leave. I’m walking down Jeonjucheon-ro, and the sunset is gorgeous. I stop by a street vendor for some tteokbokki. Spicy, chewy goodness. I’m in heaven. I get home, plop on the couch, and think about my day. It was a rollercoaster, for sure. Jeonju, you crazy city, you’ve got my heart. But man, I need a break. Tomorrow better be chill.
