Man, lemme tell ya about my day in Koesan. Wow, just wow. I woke up thinkin’ it was gonna be chill, ya know? Just another day in this wild little city. But nah, Koesan had other plans for me. First off, I hit up the local market on Gyeongju-ro. You know, the one with all the street food? I was ready to chow down on some tteokbokki. But guess what? The vendor ran out! Like, how do you run out of tteokbokki in Koesan? I was fuming. I mean, c’mon! I was ready to throw down. But then I spotted this cute little café on the corner of Jeongju-gil. They had these amazing pastries. So, I grabbed a sweet potato pie instead. Not the same, but hey, it was delish. After that, I decided to stroll down to the Koesan City Hall. Man, the vibe there is always buzzing. People everywhere, cars honking, and the smell of fried chicken wafting through the air. I swear, if I could bottle that smell, I’d be rich. But then, outta nowhere, this kid on a bike zooms past me and nearly knocks me over. I yelled, “Watch it, kid!” He just laughed and kept going. I was like, “What’s wrong with the youth today?” But honestly, I couldn’t help but chuckle. Kids these days, right? So, I kept walking, and I hit up the Koesan Art Museum. I’m not even an art guy, but they had this exhibit on local artists. Some of it was wild, like, “What even is that?” But there was this one piece that hit me. It was a painting of the Han River at sunset. Just beautiful. Made me feel all the feels, ya know? I stood there for a good 10 minutes, just soaking it in. Then, I decided to grab lunch at this spot on Koesan-ro. They had the best bibimbap. I was sittin’ there, minding my own business, when this old dude starts chatting me up. He’s telling me stories about Koesan back in the day. Like, apparently, there used to be a giant statue of a chicken in the middle of the square. I was like, “A chicken? For real?” He laughed and said it was a symbol of prosperity. I couldn’t stop picturing this giant chicken. After lunch, I headed to the Koesan Traditional Market. It was packed! I love that place. So many colors, sounds, and smells. I was just wandering around, checking out the stalls. Then, I saw this lady selling handmade crafts. She had these cute little keychains shaped like Koesan landmarks. I bought one of the Koesan Fortress. It’s now my lucky charm. But then, the day took a turn. I was walking back to my car, and I saw this guy trying to parallel park. He was struggling hard. I mean, come on, it’s not rocket science! I stood there, popcorn in hand, just watching the show. He finally got it, but not without hitting the curb like three times. I couldn’t help but laugh. As I was leaving, I got stuck in traffic on Koesan’s main road. Ugh, the worst! I was blasting my tunes, trying to keep my cool. But then, I saw this street performer doing some crazy dance moves. I rolled down my window and started cheering him on. He looked over and gave me a thumbs up. That made my day! Finally, I made it home, exhausted but happy. Koesan really knows how to throw a curveball. I mean, one minute I’m mad about tteokbokki, and the next, I’m vibing with a street performer. This city is wild, man. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
