Man, what a day in Kosong! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up the local café on Gwangjang Street. Best coffee in town, no cap. I order my usual—iced Americano, extra shot. I’m feeling fancy. But then, the barista spills my drink all over the counter. Like, dude, really? I’m standing there, dripping coffee, and he’s just like, “Oops!” Ugh, I was ready to throw a fit. But hey, free refill, so I guess I can’t complain too much. After that, I decide to stroll down to the Han River. You know, just to clear my head. The view is sick, man. The water sparkles like diamonds. I’m vibing, listening to my tunes, when suddenly, this kid on a bike zooms past me and nearly knocks me over. I’m like, “Yo, watch it!” But he just laughs and keeps going. Kids these days, right? No respect. So, I keep walking, and I hit up the street market on Jeongja-dong. It’s packed! I’m dodging people left and right, trying to find some good street food. Finally, I spot tteokbokki. My fave! I grab a plate, and as I’m about to take a bite, this old lady bumps into me. My tteokbokki goes flying! I’m standing there, mouth agape, watching my food hit the ground. I could’ve cried, man. But then the lady looks at me and says, “You need to be quicker!” I just laughed. What else could I do? Next, I decide to hit up the local park, you know, just chill for a bit. I find a bench on Seongnam Street, and I’m just about to sit down when I see this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting match. I’m just trying to enjoy my day, and they’re airing out their dirty laundry right in front of me. I’m thinking, “Get a room, people!” But then, out of nowhere, the guy pulls out a ring and proposes! I’m like, “Wait, what?!” The girl goes from furious to ecstatic in a split second. I’m sitting there, witnessing this rollercoaster of emotions. It was wild! After that, I needed a drink. So, I hit up this little bar on the corner of Hwangsaeng-dong. It’s cozy, you know? I order a beer, and the bartender starts chatting me up. Turns out, he’s from Busan. We bond over our love for spicy food and K-dramas. I’m laughing, and for a moment, I forget about the craziness of the day. But then, as I’m leaving, I step in a puddle. Like, a huge one. My shoes are soaked. I’m cursing under my breath, thinking, “Why me?” But then I see a street performer nearby, playing the guitar and singing. His voice is amazing! I stop to listen, and suddenly, my day doesn’t seem so bad. I toss him a few won and smile. Sometimes, you just gotta roll with the punches, right? Finally, I head back home, exhausted but happy. Kosong is a wild place, man. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another day in the life, I guess!
