Man, what a day! Seriously, Mokpo is wild. I woke up thinking it’d be chill, just another day in this coastal city. But nah, life had other plans. First off, I hit up the Mokpo Modern History Museum. Super cool place, right? But I got lost. Like, how do you get lost in a museum? I was wandering around, trying to find the exit, and ended up in this random exhibit about the Korean War. I mean, heavy stuff, but also kinda fascinating. I was like, “Wow, history is intense.” But then I got a text from my buddy, asking where I was. I panicked and just bolted outta there. So, I’m on the street, and it’s hot. Like, sweat-dripping-down-my-back hot. I’m walking down Jungang-ro, and there’s this street vendor selling tteokbokki. I couldn’t resist. I mean, who can? Spicy rice cakes? Yes, please! I grab some, and they’re so good. But then, I spill some on my shirt. Great. Now I look like a walking food disaster. After that, I decided to check out the Mokpo Maritime Museum. I thought, “Hey, let’s learn about ships!” But it was closed. Closed! I was so mad. I mean, who closes a maritime museum in a port city? I stood there, staring at the locked doors, like they were mocking me. Then, I wandered over to the Mokpo Bridge. The view was insane! The ocean, the boats, the whole vibe. I took a deep breath, trying to chill. But then, this seagull swoops down and steals my snack! I’m like, “Dude, that’s my food!” But the seagull didn’t care. It just flew off, leaving me snackless and angry. I needed a pick-me-up, so I hit up a café on Dongmyeong-dong. Got myself a sweet iced coffee. Finally, something good! I sat outside, people-watching. There was this old guy playing the guitar, and he was terrible. But everyone was clapping like he was a rockstar. I couldn’t help but laugh. It was so bad, it was good. Then, I decided to stroll along the Mokpo waterfront. The sunset was gorgeous. I mean, the sky was on fire! I felt all the feels. But then, I tripped over a rock. Classic me, right? I fell, and this couple nearby burst out laughing. I just laid there for a sec, like, “Really? This is how I go out?” But I got up, brushed it off, and laughed with them. As I was heading back, I passed by the Mokpo Fish Market. The smell hit me like a brick wall. Fish everywhere! I love seafood, but man, that was intense. I saw these giant octopuses, and I was like, “Nope, not today.” Finally, I made it back to my place, exhausted but buzzing from the day. I flopped on my bed, thinking about all the craziness. Mokpo is a trip, man. It’s got its quirks, its charm, and a whole lot of surprises. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. But for now, I’m just gonna crash. Peace out, Mokpo! You’ve worn me out!
