Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I’m a Financial Planning Specialist, right? But today? Today was a whole different ball game. I woke up in my tiny apartment on Koryo Street, the sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I thought, “Hey, today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I had a meeting at this café on Gwangju Street. You know, the one with the weirdly shaped tables? Yeah, that one. I get there, coffee in hand, ready to impress my client. But guess what? They ghosted me! Like, seriously? I’m sitting there, looking like a total loser, sipping my overpriced latte. I mean, c’mon, I could’ve been at home binge-watching my favorite show instead of waiting for a no-show. So, I’m fuming, right? I decide to take a stroll down to the river. The Han River, you know? It’s beautiful, but today? It was like a scene from a horror movie. The clouds were all dark and moody, and I swear I saw a fish jump out of the water and flop back in like it was trying to escape the gloom. I chuckled a bit, but then I thought, “Man, even the fish are having a rough day.” Then, outta nowhere, I bump into my buddy Joon. He’s always got some wild stories. Turns out, he just got back from a trip to Jeju Island. He’s raving about the beaches, the food, and I’m just standing there, green with envy. I mean, I love Pubal, but sometimes I wish I could just escape to a tropical paradise. But nah, I’m stuck here crunching numbers and planning for other people’s futures. Yay me. After that, we hit up this dive bar on Seongdong Street. You know the one, right? The one with the neon lights and questionable hygiene? Yeah, that’s the spot. We grab a couple of drinks, and I’m trying to forget about my day. But then, the bartender spills a drink all over me! Like, seriously? I’m drenched in some weird cocktail that smells like a mix of pineapple and regret. I’m laughing it off, but inside, I’m like, “This is just perfect.” As the night goes on, I start to feel a bit better. Joon’s cracking jokes, and we’re reminiscing about our college days. You know, the good ol’ days when we thought we’d conquer the world. Now, we’re just two dudes in a bar, drowning our sorrows in cheap beer. But hey, at least we’re together, right? Then, outta nowhere, this random guy walks in. He’s loud, obnoxious, and thinks he’s the life of the party. He starts telling everyone about his “amazing” investment strategies. I’m sitting there, rolling my eyes, thinking, “Dude, you’re in a dive bar, not a Wall Street conference.” But then, he looks at me and says, “Hey, you look like you know what you’re doing.” I just chuckle and say, “Yeah, I plan for other people’s mistakes.” He didn’t get it. Classic. By the end of the night, I’m feeling a mix of emotions. I’m angry about the meeting, happy to see Joon, and just plain confused about life. Pubal can be a wild ride, man. One minute you’re sipping coffee, the next you’re drenched in a cocktail, and then you’re laughing with friends. It’s a rollercoaster, for sure. As I stumble home down Koryo Street, I can’t help but think about how unpredictable life is. One moment you’re planning for a secure future, and the next, you’re just trying to survive a night out. But that’s what makes it all worth it, right? The ups, the downs, the unexpected twists. Pubal, you crazy city, you’ve got my heart. Even if you do drive me nuts sometimes.
