Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a bodyguard in Seogwipo is like a rollercoaster ride, but today? Today was somethin’ else. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s blazin’ through my window. I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. I grab my coffee from that little joint on Jungang-ro. Best coffee in town, no cap. I’m sippin’ my Americano, feelin’ like a boss. Then I get the call. My client, some big-shot K-pop star, needs me to meet her at the Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market. I’m like, “Great, just what I need.” The market’s packed, like sardines in a can. I’m dodgin’ tourists and locals, tryin’ to keep my eyes peeled. I finally spot her. She’s surrounded by fans, takin’ selfies, laughin’. I’m standin’ there, lookin’ tough, but inside I’m like, “What if someone tries to grab her?” My heart’s racin’. I mean, I’m a bodyguard, not a babysitter! Suddenly, this dude shoves through the crowd. He’s got this wild look in his eyes. I’m thinkin’, “Oh hell no.” I step in front of my client, ready to throw down. But the guy just wants an autograph. Phew! I’m relieved but also kinda annoyed. Like, dude, read the room! After that, we head to the Cheonjiyeon Waterfall. It’s beautiful, right? Water’s crashin’, mist in the air. But I’m still on high alert. I’m watchin’ every move. Then, outta nowhere, this kid runs up to us, trippin’ over his own feet. He’s got ice cream all over his face. I can’t help but laugh. But then, bam! My phone buzzes. Another threat? Nah, just my buddy sendin’ memes. I’m like, “Dude, not now!” But I can’t help it. I chuckle. We finally chill by the waterfall. My client’s takin’ pics, lookin’ all cute. I’m just standin’ there, tryin’ to blend in. But then, I see this guy on a bike, zoomin’ past. He’s got a basket full of fresh tangerines from the local farms. I’m thinkin’, “Man, I could go for some of those.” Then, outta nowhere, a seagull swoops down and snatches a tangerine right outta the guy’s basket! I’m dyin’ laughing. The guy’s like, “What the heck?!” I’m like, “Welcome to Seogwipo, bro!” But then, my phone buzzes again. This time, it’s serious. My client’s ex is in town. I’m like, “Oh great, just what I need.” I can feel the tension in the air. I’m ready to throw down if I have to. We head back to the hotel on Seogwipo’s main street. I’m on edge, watchin’ every corner. I’m thinkin’, “Why can’t I just have a normal day?” Finally, we get to the hotel. I’m thinkin’ I can relax. But nope! The ex shows up. He’s all cocky, tryin’ to act cool. I’m like, “Dude, back off.” But my client’s like, “It’s fine, I got this.” I’m like, “No, it’s not fine!” Things get heated. I’m ready to step in, but she handles it. I’m surprised. She’s tougher than I thought. I’m proud, but also like, “What if he tries somethin’?” After that drama, I’m finally off duty. I hit up a local BBQ spot on the waterfront. I’m chowing down on some galbi, thinkin’ about how crazy today was. I mean, who knew Seogwipo could be so wild? As I’m eatin’, I see the sunset over the ocean. It’s beautiful. I take a deep breath, finally relaxin’. I’m like, “Man, I love this city.” But then, I remember I gotta do it all again tomorrow. Ugh! Just another day in the life of a bodyguard in Seogwipo. Can’t wait!
