Man, what a day! I woke up in Seosan, and let me tell ya, it was a wild ride. First off, I’m a combine harvester, right? Not your usual 9-to-5 gig. But today? Today was something else. So, I roll outta bed, grab my coffee from that little café on Gyeongju-ro. You know the one? The one with the weirdly cute barista who always smiles too much. I swear, she’s got a secret stash of happiness or something. Anyway, I’m chugging my coffee, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. I hop in my combine, ready to tackle some fields. But first, I gotta navigate through the streets of Seosan. Man, the traffic on Seosan-ro was insane! Like, what’s up with all these cars? I thought I was gonna be late to the fields. I mean, who knew a combine could get stuck in traffic? I was just sittin’ there, honking like a madman. Finally, I get to the fields, and it’s go time. But guess what? My combine decides to throw a tantrum. Yup, it just stops. Right there. In the middle of the field. I’m like, “Are you kidding me?” I’m sweating bullets, thinking about all the crops I’m gonna ruin. But then, outta nowhere, this kid shows up. He’s like, “Hey mister, need help?” I’m like, “Dude, I’m a combine harvester, not a lawnmower!” But he’s persistent. So, I let him take a look. Turns out, he knows more about machines than I do. Who knew? He gets it running again, and I’m like, “You’re a lifesaver, kid!” After that, I’m feeling pumped. I’m harvesting like a boss, cruising down the fields. The sun’s shining, and I’m blasting my tunes. Life is good, right? Wrong! Suddenly, I hit a rock. A big one. My combine jolts, and I’m like, “Noooo!” I jump out, and there it is—a massive boulder just chillin’ in my path. I’m fuming. Like, who put this rock here? I’m ready to throw hands with Mother Nature. But then I see the view. The fields of barley stretching out, the mountains in the background. It’s kinda beautiful, ya know? I take a deep breath, and I’m like, “Okay, maybe I can deal with this.” So, I grab a shovel from my truck. Yeah, I keep a shovel in my combine. Don’t judge! I start digging around the rock, and it’s a workout. I’m sweating, cursing, but also laughing at how ridiculous this is. I mean, who else gets to say they wrestled a rock today? Finally, after what feels like forever, I get the rock outta the way. I’m back in business! I’m harvesting, and I’m feeling like a champ. But then, I notice something weird. There’s a bunch of people gathering at the edge of the field. I’m like, “What’s going on?” Turns out, there’s a festival happening nearby. The Seosan Rice Festival! I can smell the food from my combine. I’m drooling. So, I finish up my work, and I head over. Man, the vibe is electric! There’s music, dancing, and food stalls everywhere. I grab some tteokbokki and it’s spicy as hell, but I love it. I’m chatting with locals, and they’re all super friendly. I even try my hand at some traditional games. Spoiler: I’m terrible at them. As the sun sets, I’m sitting there, full of food and laughter. I think about my day. The rock, the kid, the festival. It’s wild how one day can be a rollercoaster. I’m grateful for the chaos, the surprises. So, yeah, Seosan, you’ve got my heart. From the streets of Gyeongju-ro to the fields of barley, it’s been a ride. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
