Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I wake up in Taesal-li, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up the local café on Gwangjang-ro. You know, the one with the best bingsu? Yeah, that place. I grab my usual – iced Americano, extra shot. I’m feeling like a boss. But then, bam! My phone buzzes. It’s a client. Of course, it’s the one who always has drama. “Hey, I need to talk about my policy!” Ugh, can’t a guy enjoy his coffee? So, I’m trying to sip my drink, but I’m also like, “Okay, what’s the issue?” Turns out, they got into a fender bender on Cheonggyecheon-ro. I mean, come on! It’s a busy street, but you gotta pay attention, right? I’m thinking, “Did you not see the traffic lights?” But I keep it cool. “No worries, I’ll help you out.” Inside, I’m like, “Why me?!” After that, I rush over to the office on Seongdong-gu. Traffic is a nightmare. I’m stuck behind this old lady who’s going 20 km/h. I’m like, “Lady, it’s not a Sunday stroll!” Finally, I get to the office, and my boss is waiting. He’s all, “Where have you been?” I’m like, “Stuck behind a tortoise!” He didn’t laugh. Tough crowd. So, I dive into work. Calls, emails, you name it. Then, I get a call from a guy in Gangdong-gu. He’s super chill, but he’s got this wild idea. Wants to insure his pet iguana. I’m like, “Dude, really? An iguana?” But hey, if he’s paying, I’m selling. I mean, who am I to judge? Then, outta nowhere, my buddy texts me. He’s at the Han River, and he’s like, “Dude, you gotta come! Fireworks!” I’m torn. Work’s piling up, but fireworks? C’mon! So, I sneak out for a quick break. I race over to the river, and wow, it’s packed! Families, couples, all enjoying the show. I grab a hotteok from a street vendor. Best decision ever. Sweet, gooey goodness! Fireworks start, and I’m just standing there, mouth agape. It’s like the sky’s exploding with colors. I forget all about work for a sec. But then, my phone buzzes again. It’s my boss. “Where are you?” I’m like, “Uh, saving the world?” I rush back, heart racing. Back at the office, I’m drowning in paperwork. I swear, it’s like a mountain. I’m flipping through files, trying to find this one client’s info. And then, I spill coffee all over my desk. Great. Just great. Now I’m a mess. I’m cursing under my breath, thinking, “Why can’t today just chill?” Finally, I wrap up the day. I’m exhausted but kinda proud. I helped a guy with an iguana, calmed a frantic client, and even saw fireworks. Not bad for a day in Taesal-li, right? As I walk home, I pass by the bustling streets of Dongdaemun. The night market’s alive, lights flashing, people laughing. I can’t help but smile. This city, man. It’s chaotic, but it’s home. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So yeah, that was my day. Intense, emotional, and totally wild. Just another day in Taesal-li!
