Yo, lemme tell ya about my day in Waegwan. Man, it was a rollercoaster, like, for real. I woke up, and the sun was blazin’ through my window on Cheonggyecheon Street. I was like, “Ugh, not today!” But ya know, gotta get up, right? So, I hit the streets, and first stop was this little café on Gyeongbuk-ro. Best coffee ever! I ordered a latte, and the barista, this chill dude, totally messed it up. I mean, c’mon! I asked for no foam, and he gave me a mountain of it. I was like, “Dude, I didn’t order a foam party!” But whatever, I just laughed it off. Then, I decided to stroll down to the Waegwan Market. Man, that place is wild! So many stalls, so much food. I was drooling over tteokbokki and kimbap. I grabbed some, and this old lady was like, “You eat too fast!” I was like, “Lady, I’m just trying to live my best life!” But then, outta nowhere, it started pouring. I mean, like, monsoon level. I ducked into a shop on Dongbu-ro, and it was packed. Everyone was crammed in there, and I was like, “Great, now I’m stuck with a bunch of strangers.” But then, this girl next to me started cracking jokes. We were all laughing, and it turned into a mini party. Who knew rain could bring people together, right? After the rain stopped, I decided to hit up the Waegwan River. The view was sick! I mean, the sunset over the water? Pure magic. I took a million pics, but my phone was like, “No more space!” Ugh, classic. So, I deleted some old selfies. Bye-bye, 2019 me! Then, I met up with my buddy at a BBQ joint on Seongju-ro. We ordered way too much meat. Like, I thought we were feeding an army. But hey, it’s Waegwan, and you gotta eat, right? We were just chillin’, laughing, and then this random guy at the next table started singing karaoke. I mean, he was terrible, but we cheered him on like he was a rockstar. But then, outta nowhere, my buddy spilled soju all over the table. I was like, “Dude, what are you doing?!” He just laughed and said, “It’s a party now!” I couldn’t even be mad. We ended up having a blast, and the whole place was vibin’. As the night rolled on, we decided to walk it off. We hit up the streets again, and I swear, Waegwan at night is a whole different vibe. The neon lights, the sounds of laughter, and the smell of street food. It was like a scene from a movie. But then, I got a bit lost. I was wandering around near the Waegwan Station, and I was like, “Where the heck am I?” I pulled out my phone, and of course, it died. Classic. So, I just started walking, hoping to find my way back. Finally, I stumbled upon this late-night snack place on Jangsu-ro. I was starving! I ordered some fried chicken, and it was the best decision ever. I sat there, munching away, and just thought about how crazy the day was. So, yeah, Waegwan, you got me good today. From coffee fails to rain parties, and late-night snacks, it was a wild ride. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. But for now, I’m just gonna crash. Peace out!
