Man, today was a wild ride in Yeoju! Like, seriously, I can’t even. I woke up thinking it’d be just another chill day, ya know? But nope, Yeoju had other plans for me. First off, I hit up the local café on Gyeonggi-daero. You know, the one with the cute barista? Yeah, that one. I ordered my usual – a caramel macchiato. But guess what? They were outta caramel! Like, how do you run outta caramel? I was like, “Dude, what’s next? No coffee?” So I settled for a plain ol’ latte. Not the same, but whatever. Then I decided to stroll down to the Yeoju Premium Outlets. I mean, who doesn’t love a good shopping spree, right? I was hyped! But as I walked down the street, I got distracted by this street performer on Jeonggwan-dong. He was playing the guitar and singing some K-pop cover. I swear, he was better than half the idols out there! I tossed him a few won, feeling all generous and stuff. But then, BAM! Outta nowhere, it started pouring. Like, monsoon-level rain. I was soaked in seconds. I mean, come on! I just wanted to enjoy the day! So I ducked into a nearby shop on Yeoju-ro. It was a cute little place selling handmade crafts. I ended up chatting with the owner, this sweet old lady. She told me all about Yeoju’s history. Did you know it’s famous for its ceramics? I had no idea! After the rain let up, I was feeling kinda good. I mean, I was still wet, but whatever. I decided to check out the Yeoju Art Museum. It’s this super cool place with modern art and stuff. I walked in, and my jaw dropped. There was this massive installation made of clay. I was like, “Wow, this is Yeoju in a nutshell!” But then, I got a bit too into it. I started taking pics, and this security guard came over. He was all serious, like, “No photos!” I was like, “Chill, dude! I’m just appreciating art!” But he wasn’t having it. So I just rolled my eyes and left. Ugh, some people just don’t get it. Next, I headed to the Han River. The view was stunning! I mean, the sunset over the water? Pure magic. I sat on a bench, just soaking it all in. But then, I saw this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I couldn’t help but eavesdrop. They were fighting over where to eat. I mean, c’mon! Just pick a place! As I was leaving, I bumped into an old friend from college. What are the odds? We ended up grabbing dinner at this little joint on Yeoju-dong. The food was bomb! I had bibimbap, and it was the best I’ve ever had. We laughed, reminisced, and I forgot all about the crazy day. But then, as I was walking home, I realized I left my umbrella at the café. Ugh! I was so mad! I mean, who does that? So I had to trek back, and of course, it started raining again. I was like, “Really, Yeoju? Really?” Finally, I got my umbrella back. I was drenched, but I didn’t care. I just laughed it off. Yeoju, you crazy city! You’ve got my heart, even if you drive me nuts sometimes. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but that’s life, right? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
