Man, what a day! I swear, if I had a dollar for every crazy thing that happened in Yesan today, I’d be rich. So, I roll outta bed, right? It’s like 7 AM, and I’m already late for my first meeting. Typical. I grab my coffee from that little joint on Gyeongju-ro. You know the one? The barista there is always super chill, but today? Nah, she was all flustered. Like, girl, it’s just coffee! Anyway, I’m zooming down the streets, dodging traffic like I’m in some action movie. You ever been on Jeongdong-ro during rush hour? It’s a nightmare! Cars everywhere, honking like they’re in a symphony of chaos. I’m just trying to get to the site on time. So, I finally get there, and guess what? The client is late. Classic. I’m standing there, looking at the beautiful Yesan skyline, and I’m like, “Really? I rushed for this?” But then, I see the mountains in the background, and I’m like, “Okay, maybe it’s not all bad.” Then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. I mean, like, monsoon-level rain. I’m soaked in seconds. My plans for the day? Gone. I’m standing there, drenched, trying to look professional. Spoiler alert: it didn’t work. My hair was a mess, and my suit? Ugh, don’t even get me started. But then, I meet this guy, Mr. Kim. He’s the contractor, and he’s got this infectious energy. He starts cracking jokes about the weather, and I can’t help but laugh. We’re standing in the rain, and he’s like, “Welcome to Yesan, where the weather changes faster than my mood!” I mean, he’s not wrong. After the rain, the sun comes out, and it’s like a whole new world. The streets are glistening, and I’m feeling good again. We head over to the Yesan Market on Seongju-ro. Man, that place is a treasure trove! Fresh produce, street food, you name it. I grab some tteokbokki, and it’s spicy as hell, but I love it. Then, I get a call from my boss. He’s all like, “Where’s the estimate?” And I’m like, “Dude, I’m in the middle of a food coma!” But I pull it together. I sit down at a café on the corner of Dongmun-ro, trying to focus. But the vibe is too good. I can’t help but people-watch. There’s this old lady selling flowers, and she’s got the biggest smile. I’m thinking, “She’s living her best life.” And then, there’s this kid running around, chasing pigeons. I mean, who doesn’t love a good pigeon chase? But then, I get a text from my buddy. He’s like, “You won’t believe what happened!” Apparently, there was a huge traffic jam on the highway because of a cow on the road. A freakin’ cow! Only in Yesan, right? So, I finally finish my estimate, and I’m feeling accomplished. I head back to the office, and I’m thinking, “Today was wild.” I mean, from the rain to the food to the cow, it was a rollercoaster. As I’m driving home, I can’t help but smile. Yesan, you crazy city, you’ve got my heart. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
