OMG, what a day! So, I’m a babysitter, right? And today was just... wow. I mean, I thought I was ready for anything, but Ar-Rabiyah threw me some curveballs. First off, I got to the house on Al-Masjid Street. Super nice area, but the traffic? Ugh, don’t even get me started. I swear, I sat in my car for like 20 mins just to go a few blocks. I was like, “C’mon, people! It’s not a race!” But, ya know, it’s Kuwait. Everyone’s in a hurry, even if they’re just going to the corner store. Finally, I get inside, and the kids are bouncing off the walls. I mean, literally. They were like little kangaroos! The oldest, Ali, was all hyped up on sugar. His mom had just baked cookies, and he was like, “Look what I can do!” and then he jumped off the couch. I was like, “Dude, chill! You’re gonna break something!” Then, outta nowhere, the youngest, Sara, starts crying. I’m like, “What now?” Turns out, she lost her favorite toy. It was this little stuffed camel. I mean, c’mon, it’s Ar-Rabiyah! You can’t lose a camel! So, we spent like half an hour searching the house. I checked under the couch, behind the curtains, even in the fridge. No luck. I was starting to sweat. Finally, I found it in the backyard. It was like a miracle! I held it up like I just won the lottery. “Look, Sara! Your camel!” She squealed and hugged it like it was her long-lost best friend. I felt like a hero for a sec. But then, the doorbell rings. It’s the neighbor, Mr. Khalid. He’s like, “Hey, can you keep it down? I’m trying to watch the game.” I was like, “Dude, it’s a kid’s house! What do you expect?” But I just smiled and said, “Sure, we’ll keep it down.” Inside, I was fuming. Like, come on! Kids are loud! After that, we decided to go for a walk. We hit up the park on Al-Jahra Street. It’s a nice spot, lots of trees and stuff. But of course, it was packed. Families everywhere, kids running wild. I was trying to keep an eye on Ali and Sara, but they were like little tornadoes. At one point, Ali runs off to the swings. I’m like, “No, wait!” But he’s already swinging like he’s training for the Olympics. I’m standing there, heart racing, thinking, “What if he falls?” But then, he just starts laughing. I mean, pure joy. It made me smile. Sara, on the other hand, found a group of kids playing soccer. She runs over, and I’m thinking, “Oh boy, here we go.” But she’s surprisingly good! She scores a goal, and I’m like, “What?!” I didn’t even know she had it in her. But then, the sun starts setting, and it gets super hot. I’m sweating buckets. I’m like, “Why is it so hot in October?” I mean, c’mon, it’s supposed to be fall! But nope, Kuwait’s like, “Nah, we’re still in summer mode.” Finally, we head back home, and I’m exhausted. I plop down on the couch, and the kids are finally winding down. I’m thinking, “Phew, I survived!” But then, Ali looks at me and says, “Can we have a movie night?” I’m like, “Sure, why not?” So, we end up watching some animated movie. I’m half-watching, half-falling asleep. But then, there’s this scene where the hero saves the day, and I’m like, “Wow, that’s kinda like my day!” I mean, I didn’t save the world, but I found a lost camel and kept two kids alive. As the credits roll, I’m just sitting there, feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. Yeah, it was chaotic, but it was also kinda awesome. Ar-Rabiyah, with all its craziness, really knows how to keep things interesting. So, that was my day. Just another wild ride in the city. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
