Man, what a day! I swear, Mubarak-al-Kabir is wild. Like, you think you know a place, then bam! It hits you with all this craziness. So, I’m a dealer, right? Not the shady kind, chill. I deal in electronics. Phones, gadgets, you name it. Started my day on Al-Mubarak Street. You know, the one with all the shops? Yeah, that one. I’m setting up my stall, and it’s already hot as hell. Like, why is it always 100 degrees here? I’m sweating like a fountain. Then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by, right? He’s got a brand new phone in his hand. I’m like, “Yo, where’d you get that?” Turns out, he just snatched it from some poor dude. I’m standing there, mouth open, like, “What just happened?” The kid just laughs and bolts. I mean, come on! So, I’m trying to shake it off, right? I’m thinking, “Today’s gonna be chill.” But nah, the universe had other plans. I get a call from my supplier. He’s like, “Bro, I can’t deliver your stock.” I’m like, “What?!” My heart drops. I need those gadgets! I’m pacing back and forth on Al-Jahra Street, trying to figure out what to do. I see this old man selling falafel. I’m starving, so I grab a wrap. Best decision ever! I’m munching away, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. But then, I spill some sauce on my shirt. Great. Just great. Now I’m looking like a mess. But whatever, right? I’m back to my stall, and guess what? A crowd’s forming! People are checking out my stuff. I’m feeling like a rockstar. I’m showing off the latest phones, and they’re eating it up. Then, this lady walks up. She’s got this huge bag, right? She’s like, “I want the best phone you got.” I’m thinking, “Okay, lady, let’s do this.” I show her the latest model, and she’s all in. But then, she pulls out a wad of cash. I’m talking, like, a small fortune. I’m shook! But then, she starts haggling. I’m like, “Lady, this ain’t a market!” But she’s relentless. I’m getting mad, but I keep my cool. Finally, we settle on a price. I’m happy, she’s happy. Win-win, right? But then, outta nowhere, this dude bumps into me. I drop the phone! I’m like, “Nooooo!” It’s like slow-mo. The phone hits the ground, and I’m praying it’s okay. Spoiler alert: it’s not. Screen’s cracked. I’m fuming! I’m about to lose it. I’m yelling at the guy, “Watch where you’re going!” He just shrugs and walks off. Like, seriously? Who raised you? So, I’m trying to salvage my day. I take a breather, walk down to the beach. You know, the one by the corniche? It’s beautiful there. The water’s sparkling, and I’m feeling a bit better. I sit on the sand, watching the waves. But then, I see a bunch of kids playing soccer. They’re kicking the ball around, laughing. I can’t help but smile. It’s moments like this that make you forget the chaos. As the sun sets, I head back to my stall. I’m exhausted but happy. I made some sales, met some wild characters, and learned to roll with the punches. Mubarak-al-Kabir, you crazy, but I love ya. Tomorrow’s another day, and I’m ready for whatever you throw at me!
