Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in my little studio on Abay Street, right? The sun’s blaring through the window, and I’m like, “Ugh, not today.” But I gotta get to the workshop. You know, the one on Kairan Street where I throw clay like a madman. So, I grab my coffee—like, the only thing keeping me human—and head out. The streets are buzzing. Aktobe is alive, man! People everywhere, cars honking, and I’m just trying to dodge the potholes. Seriously, they’re like craters! I swear, if I trip, I’m gonna end up in another dimension. I get to the workshop, and it’s chaos. My buddy, Aslan, is already there, covered in clay. I mean, dude, it’s like he’s trying to become a statue or something. We start chatting, and he’s telling me about this new technique he saw online. I’m like, “Bro, we’re potters, not YouTube stars!” But whatever, I’m all in for trying new stuff. Then, outta nowhere, this lady walks in. She’s got this wild hair and a vibe like she just stepped out of a rock concert. Turns out, she’s from Almaty and visiting Aktobe. She’s all about that pottery life too. We hit it off, and I’m thinking, “Wow, maybe I’ll finally meet someone who gets my obsession with mugs.” But then, bam! The power goes out. Just like that. I’m standing there, clay in hand, and it’s pitch black. I’m like, “Great, just great.” Aslan starts cracking jokes about how we’re now “cave potters.” I can’t even. We’re all laughing, but inside, I’m fuming. I need that wheel to spin, man! After a bit, the lights flicker back on. Thank you, Aktobe electricity gods! I get back to work, and I’m feeling it. The clay is smooth, and I’m shaping this beautiful vase. I’m in my zone, you know? But then, I hear this loud crash. I turn around, and Aslan’s knocked over a whole shelf of pots. I’m like, “Dude, what the heck?!” He’s apologizing like crazy, and I’m trying not to lose it. But honestly, it’s hard to stay mad when you’re surrounded by all this creativity. We start picking up the pieces, and I find this one pot that’s kinda cracked but has this cool texture. I’m like, “Hey, this is art now!” After a long day of throwing clay and laughing, I finally finish my vase. It’s not perfect, but it’s mine. I step outside, and the sun’s setting over the city. The sky is this crazy mix of orange and pink. I’m standing on Kairan Street, just soaking it all in. Then, I decide to treat myself. I head to this little café on Dostyk Street. They have the best pastries! I grab a piece of baklava and a cup of tea. I’m sitting there, watching the world go by, and I can’t help but smile. Aktobe, you crazy city, you’ve got my heart. But wait, it’s not over yet! As I’m leaving, I bump into that lady from earlier. She’s got a bag full of pottery supplies. We start chatting again, and I’m thinking, “This day just keeps getting better!” We exchange numbers, and I’m like, “Maybe I’ll actually have a pottery buddy now.” So, I head home, exhausted but happy. I think about all the craziness of the day. The power outage, the broken pots, the new friend. It’s wild how one day can be a rollercoaster. But that’s life in Aktobe, right? Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. I crash on my couch, vase beside me, and I can’t help but laugh. What a day! Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
