Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from it. So, I wake up in Fort-Shevchenko, right? The sun’s blasting through my window, and I’m like, “Ugh, another day in this crazy town.” But little did I know, today was gonna be a wild ride. First off, I hit up the local market on Abai Street. You know, the one where they sell everything from fresh fish to weird-looking fruits? I’m there, trying to grab some kazy (that horse meat sausage, yum!) when I bump into my buddy, Aslan. He’s all hyped about some fishing trip he’s planning. I’m like, “Dude, you know I can’t fish, right?” But he insists I join. I’m thinking, “Why not? Could be fun.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. So, after the market, I decide to stroll down to the beach. The Caspian Sea is calling my name! I’m walking along the coast, and it’s beautiful, man. The waves are crashing, the seagulls are squawking, and I’m just vibing. But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs past me, chasing a ball, and BAM! He knocks over my drink. I’m like, “Seriously, bro?!” I was so mad, but then I saw his face. He looked so guilty, I couldn’t stay mad. Kids, man. They’re like little tornadoes. Next, I head over to the old fort. You know, the one that gives the city its name? Fort-Shevchenko is all about that history, baby! I’m climbing up the walls, feeling like a king. But then, I slip on some loose stones. I’m flailing, arms waving like a crazy person. I almost face-planted! But I catch myself, and I’m like, “Phew, that was close!” I laugh it off, but inside, I’m like, “Dude, you gotta be more careful.” Later, I meet up with Aslan and the crew for that fishing trip. We’re at the docks on Kairan Street, and let me tell you, it’s chaos. Everyone’s yelling, boats are rocking, and I’m just standing there like, “What did I get myself into?” We finally get on this rickety boat, and I’m thinking, “This thing better float.” We head out, and it’s all chill for a bit. But then, the waves start getting rough. I’m holding on for dear life, and Aslan’s laughing at me. I’m like, “Dude, this isn’t funny!” But then, I see a dolphin jump outta the water. I’m like, “Whoa! Did you see that?!” Suddenly, I forget about being scared. Nature is wild, man. After a while, we finally catch some fish. I’m feeling like a pro, even though I barely did anything. We head back, and I’m covered in fish guts. Not my best look, but whatever. We decide to hit up a local café on Pushkin Street. I order some chai, and it’s the best thing ever. Seriously, it’s like a hug in a cup. As the sun sets, we’re sitting there, laughing and sharing stories. I’m thinking about how crazy today was. From almost falling off a fort to catching fish, it’s been a rollercoaster. Fort-Shevchenko, you never cease to amaze me. I head home, exhausted but happy. I can’t wait to tell everyone about my day. Life here is wild, unpredictable, and full of surprises. And honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way.
