Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Makinsk, right? The sun’s blaring through my window on Kabanbay Batyr Street. I’m like, “Ugh, not today!” But ya know, life doesn’t care about my feelings. First thing, I hit up the local café on Abay Street. Best coffee in town, no cap. I order my usual – a cappuccino with extra foam. The barista, this chill dude named Aslan, gives me a nod. He knows my order by heart. I’m like, “You’re the real MVP, man.” But then, I spill half of it on my shirt. Great start, right? So, I’m walking down the street, feeling all fancy with my coffee, when I see this stray dog. It’s just chilling by the bus stop on Kyzylzhar Street. I swear, it looked at me like, “Help me, human!” I’m like, “Dude, I can barely help myself!” But I can’t resist. I buy a bun from a street vendor. The guy’s selling them for like 100 tenge. Steal of a deal! I toss it to the dog, and it’s like I just gave it a gold bar. Then, I head to the park near the river. The one by the bridge on Kyzylzhar. It’s usually peaceful, but today? Nah. There’s a bunch of kids playing soccer, and they’re loud as heck. I’m trying to chill, but they’re kicking the ball everywhere. One kid, I swear, he kicks it right at me! I dodge it like I’m in the Olympics. I’m like, “Yo, watch it!” But they just laugh. Kids, man. After that, I decide to take a stroll by the river. The water’s kinda murky, but whatever. I sit on a bench, just vibing. Then, outta nowhere, this old lady comes up to me. She’s got this huge bag of apples. She’s like, “You want some?” I’m thinking, “What’s the catch?” But she’s just super sweet. I take one, and it’s the juiciest apple ever. I’m like, “Thanks, grandma!” But then, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy, asking if I wanna hit up the bazaar. I’m like, “Sure, why not?” So, I rush over to the bazaar on Kabanbay Batyr. It’s packed! People everywhere, shouting prices, haggling like it’s a sport. I love it! I grab some fresh veggies and a couple of those weird pastries. You know, the ones that look like they could explode? Yeah, those. I’m munching on one, and it’s so good, I almost forget to pay. The vendor’s like, “Hey, buddy!” I’m like, “Chill, I got you!” Then, I run into this guy I know, Dauren. He’s always got the craziest stories. Today, he’s telling me about this time he got lost in the mountains near Makinsk. I’m laughing so hard, I almost drop my bag. He’s like, “I thought I was gonna be a bear’s dinner!” Classic Dauren. But then, the day takes a turn. I’m walking back home, and I see this commotion on the street. Turns out, there’s a protest happening on Abay Street. People are shouting about something. I can’t even hear what they’re saying, but the energy is wild. I’m standing there, half-excited, half-confused. I mean, I love a good protest, but I’m not ready to get involved. So, I just keep walking, trying to avoid the chaos. But then, I trip on a crack in the sidewalk. Classic! I’m like, “Really, Makinsk? You gotta do me like that?” I get up, dust myself off, and keep moving. Finally, I get home, and I’m exhausted. I flop on my bed, thinking about the day. It was a rollercoaster, for sure. Makinsk, you crazy little city, you never fail to surprise me. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Well, maybe a million bucks, but you get the point. What a day, man. What a day.
