Man, what a day! Seriously, Planken (li) is wild. I woke up thinking it’d be chill, ya know? Just another day in this tiny town. But nah, Planken had other plans. First off, I hit up Hauptstraße. Gotta love that street. It’s like the main vein of the town. Grabbed a coffee at this cute little café, Café Planken. The barista was super chill, but the coffee? Ugh, tasted like burnt rubber. I mean, c’mon! How hard is it to brew a decent cup? So, I’m sippin’ my rubbery brew, and I see this old dude, right? He’s just standing there, staring at the fountain in the square. Like, bro, it’s just water. But then he starts talking to it! I’m like, “Is this guy for real?” Turns out, he’s been coming to that fountain for years. Says it gives him wisdom. I’m thinking, “Dude, you need a new hobby.” After that, I decided to stroll down to the Planken Castle. It’s this old, kinda creepy place. I swear, every time I go there, I half-expect a ghost to pop out and say, “Boo!” But today? No ghosts. Just a bunch of tourists taking selfies. Like, really? You’re in front of a castle, and you’re more interested in your Instagram feed? Priorities, people! Then, I hit up the local market on Kirchstraße. Man, that place is a vibe. Fresh veggies, local cheese, and the best bratwurst ever. I’m standing in line, and this lady in front of me is arguing with the vendor about the price of tomatoes. I mean, c’mon! They’re tomatoes! Not gold! But she’s all like, “I can get them cheaper in Vaduz!” I’m just standing there, trying not to laugh. Finally, I grab my bratwurst and head to the park. It’s a nice spot, with trees and a playground. I plop down on a bench, ready to enjoy my lunch. But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by, trips, and spills his ice cream all over me! I’m covered in sticky vanilla goodness. I’m like, “Great, just what I needed!” But the kid? He looks up at me with these big, sad eyes. I can’t even be mad. I just laugh it off. After that, I decided to walk it off. I wandered down to the riverbank. The Rhine is beautiful there. I mean, the view is killer. I sat there for a bit, just soaking it all in. Then, I see this group of people doing yoga on the riverbank. Like, who does yoga in public? But hey, whatever floats your boat, right? As the sun started to set, I made my way back to Hauptstraße. The lights were coming on, and the town looked magical. I felt this wave of happiness wash over me. Planken, with all its quirks, is home. But then, just when I thought the day was winding down, I bumped into my ex. Ugh, talk about a plot twist! We exchanged awkward hellos, and I could feel the tension. I mean, why does it always have to be so weird? Anyway, I wrapped up my day with a beer at the local pub. Just me, my bratwurst, and a cold one. I thought about all the craziness. Planken (li) is a small town, but it’s full of surprises. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So yeah, that was my day. Full of laughs, a bit of chaos, and a whole lotta Planken charm. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
