Man, what a day! Seriously, Palanga is wild. I woke up thinking it’d be chill, just another day as an operator. But nah, the universe had other plans. First off, I hit the main street, J. Basanavičiaus. It’s like the heartbeat of this place. Tourists everywhere, like ants at a picnic. I’m dodging families, kids screaming, and I’m just trying to get my coffee. You know, the essentials. So, I’m standing in line at this café, and this dude in front of me orders, like, five different drinks. I’m like, bro, it’s not a Starbucks! Just pick one! I’m losing my patience. Finally, I get my latte, and it’s lukewarm. Ugh! I’m ready to throw it at the wall. Then, I head to the beach. The sun’s shining, and I’m thinking, “Okay, maybe this day will turn around.” But nooo, the beach is packed. I can’t even find a spot to lay my towel. I finally squeeze in next to this group blasting techno music. Like, chill out, it’s not a rave! I’m trying to relax, but then this seagull swoops down and steals my sandwich. I’m like, “Dude, that’s my lunch!” I swear, that bird looked me dead in the eye. I was ready to fight a seagull. After that, I decide to stroll down the beach path. It’s beautiful, though. The waves crashing, the smell of the sea. I pass by the Palanga Pier, and it’s packed with people taking selfies. I mean, I get it, it’s iconic. But come on, how many pics do you need? I bump into an old friend, Mantas. We start chatting, and he tells me about this new bar on Vytauto street. Apparently, they have the best cocktails. I’m intrigued. But then he mentions they have a “mystery drink.” I’m like, “Nah, I’m good. I don’t need a drink that might poison me.” Later, I’m walking back, and I see this street performer. He’s juggling flaming torches. I’m impressed, but also like, “Dude, you’re gonna set yourself on fire!” But he’s nailing it. I can’t help but cheer. Then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. I mean, like, monsoon level. I’m soaked in seconds. I duck into a shop on Maironio street, and it’s packed with souvenirs. I’m browsing, trying to dry off, and I see this ridiculous T-shirt that says “I survived Palanga.” I almost buy it, but then I remember I’m broke. Finally, I decide to call it a day. I’m walking back to my car, and I see the sunset over the sea. It’s stunning. I stop for a sec, just to take it in. All the craziness fades away. But then, I get to my car, and guess what? I locked my keys inside. Classic me, right? I’m standing there, laughing and crying at the same time. What a day! So yeah, Palanga, you’ve got my heart. Even if you drive me nuts sometimes. Can’t wait for the next adventure!
