Man, what a day! I swear, Rokiskis is a wild ride. So, I’m a car instructor, right? And today was just... wow. First off, I roll into town, and it’s like, what’s up, Rokiskis? I’m driving down Vytauto street, and I’m already feeling the vibe. The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinking, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. I pick up my first student, this kid named Mantas. He’s all nervous, sweating bullets. I’m like, “Dude, relax! It’s just driving.” But nah, he’s gripping the wheel like it’s a lifeline. We hit the road, and I’m trying to keep it light. “Hey, Mantas, ever seen the Rokiškio dvaras? It’s like a castle, bro!” He’s like, “Yeah, but I’m more worried about crashing!” Classic rookie move. So we’re cruising down J. Basanavičiaus street, and suddenly, this dog runs out! I’m yelling, “Watch out!” Mantas slams the brakes. We stop just in time. My heart’s racing. I’m like, “Dude, you almost became a dog pancake!” He’s pale as a ghost. I’m half-laughing, half-freaking out. After that, we hit the roundabout near the park. Mantas is still shaky, and I’m trying to be all zen. “Just go with the flow, man!” But he’s overthinking it. He takes the wrong exit! We end up on some random street, and I’m like, “Where are we? This isn’t even on the map!” Finally, we get back on track. I’m thinking, “Okay, let’s hit the main road.” But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring rain. I mean, like, buckets! I’m soaked, Mantas is panicking again. “I can’t see!” he yells. I’m like, “Bro, it’s just water! You’re not made of sugar!” We pull over by the Rokiškio turgus, and I’m trying to calm him down. I’m like, “Look, let’s grab some šaltibarščiai after this. You’ll feel better.” He’s still shaking, but I can see a tiny smile. After the rain, we hit the road again. This time, I’m feeling it. I’m like, “Let’s go, Mantas! You got this!” He starts to relax, and we’re cruising down the streets, passing by the old church. I’m telling him about the history, how it’s been there since forever. He’s actually listening now! Then, outta nowhere, this old lady on a bike swerves in front of us. I’m like, “Whoa, lady! You trying to give us a heart attack?” Mantas swerves, and I’m just laughing. “You gotta watch for the grandmas, man! They’re the real road warriors!” Finally, we wrap up the lesson. Mantas is still a bit shaky, but he’s smiling. I’m like, “See? You survived! You’re ready for the roads of Rokiskis!” He’s pumped, and I’m feeling proud. As I drive home, I can’t help but think about the day. Rokiskis is crazy, but it’s my kind of crazy. The streets, the people, the unexpected moments. It’s all part of the ride. So yeah, that was my day. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. Just another day in Rokiskis, I guess!
