Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being an auctioneer in Comrat is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit the streets of Comrat. You know, the ones like Strada 31 August and Strada Mărășești. They’re like the veins of this city. I’m cruisin’ down, and bam! Traffic jam. Like, seriously? In a city this size? I’m sittin’ there, fuming. I could’ve sworn I saw a tortoise pass me. Finally, I get to the auction house. It’s on Strada Vasile Alecsandri, and let me tell ya, it’s a cozy little spot. But today? It was packed! I mean, people were elbowing each other like it was a Black Friday sale. I’m thinkin’, “What’s the deal? Did I miss the memo?” So, I start my spiel, right? “Ladies and gents, welcome!” But then, outta nowhere, this dude in the back yells, “Get on with it!” I’m like, “Bro, chill! I’m not a robot!” But inside, I’m like, “Dude, you’re ruining my vibe!” Then, I spot this old lady, bless her heart, waving her hand like she’s trying to flag down a taxi. Turns out, she’s bidding on this ancient vase. I mean, it looked like it belonged in a museum, not in her living room. But hey, who am I to judge? If she wants it, let her have it! But then, the drama unfolds. Someone else starts bidding against her. It’s like a scene from a movie. I’m caught in the middle, and I’m just trying to keep it together. “Going once, going twice…” and then BAM! The old lady wins! She’s jumping up and down like she just won the lottery. I’m happy for her, but also like, “Lady, it’s just a vase!” After that, I take a breather outside. Strada Tineretului is buzzing with life. Kids are playing, vendors are selling stuff, and I’m just standing there, soaking it all in. Comrat’s got this vibe, ya know? It’s like a small town with a big heart. But then, I get a call. My buddy, Ion, is in a pickle. He’s stuck at the market on Strada Călărași, and he needs help. I’m like, “Dude, I’m an auctioneer, not a taxi service!” But I can’t leave him hanging. So, I rush over. When I get there, he’s surrounded by a bunch of angry vendors. Apparently, he tried to haggle too hard. I’m like, “Ion, man, you can’t just lowball everyone!” But he’s all, “I thought I was being smart!” Long story short, we manage to smooth things over. I even buy some fresh produce. Gotta support local, right? By the time I get back to the auction house, I’m exhausted. But the day’s not over yet. I’ve got one last item to auction off: a vintage guitar. It’s beautiful, but I’m nervous. What if no one bids? I start the bidding, and to my surprise, it’s a hit! People are raising their hands like crazy. I’m feeling like a rockstar. “Going once, going twice…” and then, boom! Sold! I’m on cloud nine. As I pack up for the day, I can’t help but think about all the craziness. Comrat’s got its quirks, but it’s home. I love this place, even when it drives me nuts. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, laughter and chaos. Just another day in the life of an auctioneer in Comrat. Can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow!
